Well no. But there is an extra hurdle there. And there then would be the added complication of divorce, if she ever wanted to re marry. Easier to come in on a fiance visa if the sole aim was to get into the UK.

The reference number has no bearing on whether your application is successful or not.

A few months ago here at BF we were starting to think that if your email from VFS/Embassy contained a reference number then your application was successful, then we were proved wrong by an email containing reference number having had the visa declined :(

Not long to wait now, if you've done your home work which it sounds like you have then you should be looking at a positive result, the vast majority of settlement visas are successful.

Hi everyone, I really need help regarding our Tier 2 (gen) PBS dependents visa - temporary / 30 day short-term vignette sticker. I am applying outside the UK and our application with my daughters were successful. Only thing is we will be traveling together with my husband during his holiday trip this coming Nov, which is later decided possible off work demands him but the vignette sticker will soon expire this sept27th. I should apply transfer of conditions only if I'm in the UK. I'm confused of the other option online application of vignette transfer.

I understand that I need a new 30-day Vignette, however the 'Vignette Transfer' appears to only be for 'Transfer of Vignette to New Passport', is this still the correct option for me? Also, do I need to wait until my current 30-day vignette is valid before I apply for this? I have had a look at the form and there is no option to forward the date of the VISA I have been given.
Thank you for any guidance or advice!!

Hi lisaUK. Can I ask when did you submitted your application - curious about the timeline at present. My brother and his filo wife are waiting to hear about their second application. They were turned down first time on a minor detail. The waiting is unbearable.Their lawyer advised them not to appeal as it can take up to 18 months. Good Luck, Sandygen

Lisa got her visa in October 2014, she was a very happy camper indeed when her husband got the visa.

Unfortunately she does not post much nowadays, I personally miss her posts has she has a lot of passion.

How long has your brother been waiting for the decision sandygen?

Hi Timmers. Many thanks for your reply - after I sent my message I realised that the post I was reading was dated 2014. My brother got the refusal only 5 weeks after the first application and it is now nearly 4 weeks since the second application so we are hoping for a quick response again.I was just wondering if anyone knew what the timeline in Manila is at present.

Reading through the information regarding processing times it does suggest that it is seasonal, as in it will take longer to process your visa when all the students are applying for their visas, when that time of year is I do not know.

One thing I can say is that over the course of the last year or so I have not heard of many people on the forum waiting above two months for their decision, of course here at BF it is only a small snippet but it may count for something.

Thank you for that info Timmers. We thought last time that 5 weeks was really quick - hopefully it wont be too long this time.

I'm sure everything will go fine for him this time, I'm sure he has addressed the UKVI concerns and the decision will be positive.

Yes, his lawyer covered everything very thoroughly - so fingers crossed. We both appreciate your kind words - its so nice to communicate with lovely people like yourself on the forum who have been through the torture of this procedure. We just cant wait for his wife to arrive in Northern Ireland and she is so excited she just cant wait either.
