@superann you talk about your fathers house and a cash gift from your parents in your first 2 or 3 posts as though your father is still alive and later you advise that sadly yyoir father has passed away .is there a legel document showing your dad gifting you the money?

Yes , thanks for that @Markham , I should have been clearer in my reply .

I was just suggesting places for the OP to say she will be visiting , to see. photograph, and take the obligatory selfie haha

Yeah I included something like that. Part of it was from the death claim given by the government. So it's definitely legit. I included all the papers. My mom also explained it on the letter.

Best not to include those on my itinerary then? I can still visit and take photos from the outside though right? When I included those places as part of my itinerary, I was not considering going inside, even if it was possible. I'll just make sure to point that out.

Noted. I'll keep all this in my mind when I reapply again.

I included a letter from my mom when I submitted my first app and she explained all those things on the letter.

And yes, I will wait until the money is 6 months in my bank account already.. So the ECO can see from my bank statements the next time I apply that I don't and haven't used my savings account from then on.

Thank you for all your suggestions!

Most of the money was from my mom. Part of it was from my dad. Is it not enough that my mom explained it on the letter? Does that mean everytime your parents give you a huge amount of money, we need to have a lawyer to make things official? Lol. I understand Mattecube's point, but do you get mine? Parents give you money all the time when they want to. I am not being sacastic btw. And i appreciate that you're all looking at the possible loopholes so I can address it all properly when I apply for the second time. :)

Anyway, i included all the necessary the papers to back it up from the government itself when I applied the first time. So the plan now is to make sure that money sits it my savings account for 6 months or more. Now will that be enough to prove to the ECO? :)

Your application looks strong in many ways superann. Maybe just a few tweaks to your budget will help next time .

You have a job , pay slips, bank statements , to prove what you state on your application form
CEO , letter granting leave of absence .
You have a good amount of money in the bank

The hardest part of the application , is usually proving your intention to return home after your visit .
Do you have any appointments , important events , family celebrations , training courses etc you can give as reasons to return ? Can your employer help with this ?

Unfortunately , the onus is on you to provide them with enough reasons , to believe you will return .

I have always felt , rightly or wrongly , that there is no way that you can prove 100% that you will return . Owning property , having dependants and a job, return flight tickets etc , can still not guarantee to immigration that you will return .
You need to provide as many reasons as you can to try to tip the balance in your favour .

and being sponsored by a boyfriend in the UK means nothing. its probably not unheard of for a visitor coming over to visit her generous boyfriend vanishes as soon as she clears immigration at heathrow. already got a sweat shop job with board and lodgings lined up.
