The Premium and PV services may also be paid on the appointment day, but in cash. This is for the Manila office, not sure with the Cebu office though.
Yep it's manila Poor old Reichelle has to go to makati first to pick up her new CENOMAR then off to the vfs office for her appointment Thanks for the reply
Hi @firew0myn is this for a fiancé visa? I've been noting the requirements and I wish to know the process you were doing so I'd know what to do.
Hello there! Yes, it is. The documents that I submitted are in this thread. That's the first step really - gather all the documents that you will provide. Once you are done collating the docs, then it is time to accomplish the online application form. Don't forget to also accomplish the VAF2 appendix, you can find this in the Gov.uk website. Next step is to make the online payment and schedule your appointment with VFS. The schedule is for you to submit your documents and do your biometrics. Then the waiting game begins! That is where I am right now.
Just ask anything you need the forum is more than helpful, I've just finished my fiancé visa application also
I sent enough money that if Reichelle decides to use PV she can, financially I'm not sure if it's worth it but emotionally and mentally it probably is, I would hate to wait 30 to 60 days just to hear we failed
I've learnt that every bodies application is different, my girlfriend had no confidence in doing alot of the paperwork her self and she couldn't join the forum to help her so I've done most of it,with the help of the forum it's easier than you think if you meet all the requirements
Yep. This forum is a big help. Your girlfriend should learn to work on this herself and learn how to do things or she will forever depend on you.
I think it is definitely worth it so I hope she does avail the service. I'm still kicking myself for not doing it lol!
You're welcome @joi1991! Like what @ross mastin said, ask away if you have any questions. Had it not been for this forum, I would have submitted scanned printed copies of my fella's bank statements which is a no-no.
Did anyone pay the IHS or the surcharge before you submit the visa application? https://www.gov.uk/healthcare-immigration-application/how-much-pay
NOT if its a settlement ( marriage ) visa--"fiancee" visa. if the online application doesnt mention the payment---you DONT pay it at that stage.
On this link says https://www.gov.uk/join-family-in-uk You may also have to pay the healthcare surcharge as part of your application. Checkhow much you need to pay before you apply, https://www.gov.uk/healthcare-immigration-application/how-much-pay Your visa or immigration application won’t be granted if you don’t pay the healthcare surcharge or your application will be delayed if you don’t pay the right amount. *** That is what it says.
Basically if you are entering the UK on a Fiancée visa (6 month visa) you do not have to pay the health charge, you will not pay until you apply for the first FLR. If you enter the UK on a spouse visa (2.5 years visa) then the health charge is payable on the settlement visa application.
Howdi.. just a quick 1.. for financial requirement etc do i need to include a recent P60 ( im not self employed ) also the CENOMAR thats only required for those who intend to marry.. were already married so this wont be needed right ?? tia..
Hi @jock_in_a_frock! I submitted my fiance's P60 although I believe it's not a requirement. Yep, you are right. Your missus doesn't need the CENOMAR anymore since you guys are already married.
