Safe for another season. Unless the Premier League decide that the 2 points deduction should actually be 20 when the appeal goes ahead. However, it's still going to be an uncertain future for Everton.

This season, Everton (plus Palace, Forest and Brentford) have benefited that the 3 promoted teams were very poor. Luton deserve some credit for their efforts but they plus Sheffield Utd and Burnley were of a very low standard. Next season, it's looking likely that 3 stronger Championship teams will replace them (though I think Ipswich will go straight back down if they come up). With Everton not really a position to strengthen much, I think 24/25 is going to be an ordeal. If I had to be bet, I think Goodison's final season will end with relegation.

We would be higher up the table if those points were not taken from us.
You're right, next season will not be easy but I don't think we will be scrapping to stay up like the recent seasons.
It will be the last season at Goodison Park and our bad luck can't go on indefinitely. Things change and crushing Liverpool was a momentous night and hopefully a turning point.
However, the uncertainty with the takeover is not helping and the management structure seems shot to pieces at the moment.
Bill Kenwright didn't steady the ship enough over many years and Moshiri meddled too much.

I didn't make the prediction on the basis of opinion such as Trump bad/Trump good. Everton have one of their poorest squads in a long while and there's only so often you can hover around relegation and not get sucked in. They dodged a few bullets in the 90's and there now seems something ominous with the squad and probable lack of substantial improvement during the offseason.

I think Leicester will have a decent enough squad when they come up. Will be interesting to see if Forest (should they stay up) have to sell everything and put the dinner lady as sub goalkeeper. Everton's best bet is if Ipswich and Hull go up with Leicester. If it's Leeds and Southampton, those will be tough opposition and should get more points than Burnley and Sheffield Utd have managed this season.

I don’t recall Everton crushing Liverpool this season, I recall them beating Liverpool 2-0 hardly a crushing. I guess the results across the season more so of late but not any one crushed their dream of a premiership title.
Everton’s recent 6-0 loss to Chelsea that’s a crushing very much like when Liverpool crushed Man Utd last year.
But to describe 2-0 as a crushing is fantasy

All results are relative. If MUFC beat Liverpool 2-0 and effectively stopped any realistic chance of winning the PL, they'd be shouting about it from Salford to Southend.

MUFC's 3-3 draw with Coventry was probably more crushing than Everton losing 6-0 to Chelsea.

It would be Salford, Southend and beyond.
How can progress be more crushing than a loss? Maybe the manner of United progressing left a lot to be desired but they progressed they did not lose.

That is an understatement to say the least.

When there have been so many question-marks about the attitude of the MUFC squad, the draw with Coventry after being 3-0 up spoke volumes.

Tyson Fury got a win over Francis Ngannou in the boxing last year. It was a very poor performance from Fury and though he won, his reputation as a boxer was hugely tarnished. When Joshua then went and flattened Ngannou in 2 rounds, it made Fury's performance look even more terrible. It might even have been better for Fury to get quickly KO'd and then claim it was just a lucky punch and he had food poisoning rather than plodding over 10 rounds and showcasing how bad he was on that night. Fury can make up for that performance and, with a win over Usyk, people will forget about that fight. MUFC on the other hand followed up the draw with Coventry with a scrappy win over Sheffield Utd and a draw against Burnley. Everton meanwhile followed up the loss to Chelsea with wins against Forest, Liverpool and Brentford. I'd wager Everton fans have moved on from the Chelsea result. For MUFC, the draw with Coventry will linger into the off-season when people are debating which players to sell and whether ETH stays or goes.

Crushing!!! You appear to of moved on from progress over defeat being determined as crushing.
    I dont follow boxing
Yes it would be natural for the Everton fans to move on from a negative to positives its human nature, just as MUFC fans will move on from the Coventry result after penalties that resulted ultimately in progress. Yes I am sure that the season as a whole is being and will be looked at.

Crushed by Chelsea’s failure to progress in the FA Cup, you cuddle up to one result awarded to Chelsea through soft penalties and dodgy VAR

Actually the 6-0 against Everton was quite pleasing but not nearly as pleasing as this one:

Thankyou Palmer, don't think I'll ever forget that one :D

When I lived in Manchester, Man Utd fans thought their club and the players were above everybody else.
City are dominant and the Utd squad is being sold
