I fancy Israel, Tel Aviv is a great place, lovely beaches, excellent restaurants and hotels. Jerusalem and the birth place of Jesus at Bethlehem are good places to tour as well

Its just getting a bomb on my head that worries me :D. I do know from experience though that all the hotels have good five star bomb shelters :D

Good idea Lisa, you get an unbelievable security grilling going to and from Israel anyway. I think there are a few countries on the list that could be fun and quite interesting, especially the South American countries.
I'm in Torquay at the moment with the loved one and I told her that for the four days we've spent here we could have easily had two weeks in Spain for the same price.

British holidays are too expensive and you don't always have the weather on your side as we both know :)

Yep that's true - it's often cheaper to go abroad. And yes, definitely better for the weather! We would have gone somewhere in Europe probably if we didn't have the Schengen issue. Anyway it doesn't matter where we go - having him here with me will be all that matters. The visa is the main thing - honeymoon destinations are the least of our worries really aren't they

Well, to quote from the TV advert in 2012, why go to Bondi when you can go to Bridlington?

It's not just the location you have to decide, you need to get the itinerary planned as well then you will get the best memories / photos.

Find out what local attractions there are, plan what you intend to do, and create a daily schedule.

Fell-walking or brewery tours :D, find out all the information in advance.

Hi All, Was looking through keywords where in I can contribute not much but a bit. I can really say that Solva and St David's very beautiful places to see. Me and my boyfriend had the St David's Cathedral all to ourselves. The places I have visited in UK are beyond my imagination. The places is so full of history and very proud people. So I would recommend anyone to visit Pembrokeshire.

Pembrokeshire: 'a little bit of England beyond Wales' is a truly beautiful county and is my UK home.

Hi Timmers! Thank you for taking the time to reply to my comment. Appreciate it big time! 2 days in England and We walked from morning till night in Central London! I've become a bit familiar of history! I walked around Prince Albert Monument! Had a cuppa in Kensington, walked around Princess of Wales Lady Diana Forever flowing Fountain, sat down the Italian Gardens, and of course Big Ben and the London Eye! Walked through China town feeling I was part of Sherlock holmes series haha passed through the knitty gritty Soho! And the most romantic was Notting Hill experience I felt like Julia Roberts finally found Hugh Grant!!! Derrrrr!! Moving on... I adore the late Queen Elizabeth how braved she was like his father King Henry VIII. Oh I have lots to say!!

I was in Pembroke Castle and I felt like Anne Boleyn! Haha! I was day dreaming!!! I was in Picton Castle and played in the garden like little child!!! My goodness! I only see these places in movies. I want to see next time the Tudor's place in Tenby.

I was discussing with the wife only yesterday where we should go on holiday in a couple of months, the Philippine passport of course is limiting our options. There isn't a country on the list where we don't need a visa that is shouting at me if you know what a mean, I love going around the UK but I do not feel that I get value for money especially that I prefer stopping at top hotels.

Yes, I believe the chap who had all the wives (for a short time :)) lived in the Pembroke Castle, steeped in history I bet. I've taken my wife to a couple of castles in Wales, she loved it, we both have pictures of the castles as our screen savers.

You have certainly got my mind working overtime now, thanks for that, so pleased you are taking the time to immerse yourself in our history.

If you are into British history, you have come to the right place! :D Maybe we will get around to South Wales, some time. We are doing the Lake District and North Wales in June as they are new to my wife.

We keep our budget lower by using Premier Inn or Travel Lodge. It helps. And they are not too bad.

I'm in Holyhead waiting for a ferry to Dublin at the moment, passed the sign post for Betts Coed (spelt wrong of course), that's a lovely place and there are some lovely drives.

Cant go wrong with the Lakes of course, although it can be a little busy in some of the main towns, especially in the summer holidays.
