Can you send link to verify Philippines is not on Red List from November. I cannot see any articles stating that? Thanks. Yippee if it is!

How much were you paying in peso for your 10 day quarantine hotel and tests earlier in the year, if you don't mind me asking?

There's lots of hotels to choose from. I have stayed in lots these past 18 months'. Makati Diamond for example.....it all depends what you want to spend to be honest.

    Just ballpark figures?

I've estimated about £400 or maybe 30,000 peso.

I have not stayed in a hotel in Manila since 2005 as I rent our place for my kids over there.

I paid on average 6K Pesos per night, but like I said, there's lots to choose from.

    That's expensive, £100 a night :D

Last time I paid for a good quality hotel in Makati it was £25 a night :D but then again the exchange rate was 106 PHP to the pound :D

Great news! Now it's down to the Philippines to recognise those fully vaccinated from other countries.

I've read in the news that people are petitioning for Manila to recognise fully vaccinated Americans for tourism, hopefully the UK gets recognised too.

I think the pressure has to be from all the OFWs who have been fully vaccinated in the country they work in and want to get home for Christmas that's a lot of hotel rooms!
Hopefully as you say there will be recognition.

As a business city it is quite westernised certainly more so than most of the rest of Metro Manila and more so than where we live, the businesses I was involved with were based in Salcedo village, I have not been there for a very long time I think the last time was a night out at the Hard Rock Cafe in Glorietta, Makati is certainly one of the tidier places.

We tended to go out for entertainment in Malate, favourite restaurant was the Korean Palace on the corner of Remedios Circle and we used to enjoy the third floor pool hall just down Adriatico street on the side Cafe Adriatico was on.

The whole place has changed a lot over the years not always for the better, I felt the businesses cater more for Asian tourists now rather than Westerners.

Good news! IATF confirms reduced 5 days quarantine effective today for double vaccinated (in any country). Great, great news! :)

Do you need a PCR Test before flying to Philippines now? Does anyone have an exact breakdown of the entry rules to Philippines leaving from UK.

    Great news this.
