I dont disagree with the sentiment behind what she did however as Batangas Archbishop Ramon Arguelles referred to Madonna as "the evil one," warning the Filipino faithful to shun her. her advisors should perhaps been aware of all the potential pitfalls and advised her accordingly.
Personally if she came to the UK and draped herself in the Union Flag as a closer I would have no issue

Agreed. CNN was all over it. I am sure the others were too.

Very often I don't have access to a fridge in the Philippines and have to rely on ice tubes to keep beers cool. And in sone real out-of'the-way places too. Never got sick once.

Maybe we are getting closer to what the fuss is all about, Madonna has upset the church on more than one occasion.

Yeah, I agree with you. I think she did this too in her other concerts although not sure if they had the same issue as our government.

Sigh. I am Catholic but I don't consider her as the "evil one". Sometimes I don't know how and why other people can come up with these kinds of things. Oh well.

That is discovering places. If you want some entertainment when you are in a small Filipino town of a night it's your only option unless you decide to attend the Tuburan Opera House or the Balamban ballet.

Imagine what would have happened if she donned her old conical mammaries.

Considering you claim to spend a lot of time in The Philippines and know a lot about it, it's amazing how consistently wrong you are.

I thought I could tell Filipinas from other Asian nationalities until someone on another forum posted a set of photos getting the viewer to try to guess correctly. I failed miserably and I was amused when many Thais spoke to my wife in Thai when we passed through Thailand.

Funny thing is, my missus can easily tell the difference between a Thai and a Filipino at 100 paces, but she's had a Thai woman come up to her in Sainsbury's and start talking Thai to her.

Half the staff in our local Thai restaurant are Filipino. For me there's quite a difference. Thai's have a bit of an oriental thing going on, which Filipino's don't have.
