Naughty chat....

Just wondered what other's opinions are on the inclusion (or not) of x-rated chat as relationship evidence?! While I've been collecting pieces of chat to include I've been missing it out but the better half thinks there should be some in there. He says it will make a better case - I mean if the relationship is genuine there will be sex stuff in there right? I agree, but what if we have a god-fearing-no-sex-before-marriage type case worker? So what have you guys done - included it or missed it out?

We cherry picked out samples from each week. So that enabled us to be selective.

We didn't include any "naughty" chat. And didn't include anything that denigrated the UKBA And did not include any politics.

We did include material that discussed our plans for the future and some ILU's.

How much did you send? Like a page a week? Or more?

No. A days worth a week. Sometimes 2. A days worth was normally a good several hours worth.

Well so far I've picked out a page from about every 3 or 4 days, so about 7 or 8 pages a month. I guess I should get more then?

There are no real guidelines. I bet we all do it differently and still get the visa.

One of my considerations was the weight of the parcel that my wife had to take with her on her journey from Cavite to Makati. But she is a 4ft 11 inch Filipina.

Its unlikely they will read much of your chat logs, must get quite boring once you've read a few, all chat logs will be full of all the same bollocks we say when your loved one if far away

I think they are more likely to glance at the time stamps on the chat logs to check there has been continuity between you over the period you have stated, but who knows they may take turns reading them out aloud so they can have a right old laugh to pass the time of day

I'm worried about our chat because it's all just on a Word document (over 12,000 pages) so we could have just made it up I guess. Facebook won't let us scroll back far enough to get screenshots - it just freezes because there's so much. Do you think it will be ok like that, just on Word? :/

I would definitely ask your brief about that as there obviously wont be any time stamps.

Yeah I'm really worried now about the chat being only on Word. There's nothing we can do about it though :'(

I cant remember exactly how I did it now but our Yahoo chat retained all time and date stamps.

Same for Skype.

What medium did you use? Skype or Yahoo or which?

Ah. Just noticed....Facebook.

It's all Facebook and you can't scroll back further than a couple of weeks. It freezes. I've copied and pasted everything to Word as we've gone but there's nothing to prove it's real chat is there :'(

Nope. Just a handful of emails. Everything is facebook chat, and we phone through Facebook too which doesn't log anything.

Can you take a screen shot?

Is Facebook messenger the same as Facebook chat? if it is, I've just been told by the loved one that you could try right clicking on a specific message in Facebook and select "details" off the drop down menu. Then, screenshot, that way you get a time and date stamp.

As Timmers says, see what the agency have to say. They will know for certain what is best for you under the circumstances.

But Timmers facebook will only scroll back about 2 weeks because there's so much there - it freezes and won't scroll back further.

I've just remembered we use a couples app too called avocado so I've just taken screenshots from there. We only got that in May though.
