    Hello everyone,
Glad to make your acquaintance - and thanks for this site.
I'm Rob, 59, from Kent. I'll be taking a keen interest on here from now on, and I'm certainly hoping that this site will enable me to find, and start a relationship with, a UK-based Filipina.
    Best wishes to all.

Welcome to British Filipino Rob, lets hope a Filipina comes along for you. Finding a UK based Filipina will not be easy as you are probably already aware.

Is there any reason you prefer to date a Filipina?

    I'm just being nosy :)

Hi Timmers, and thanks for getting in touch.
To be frank, I don't really have much idea how easy or difficult it will be - but time will tell!
And the reason? There is a physical attraction, of course, and I have also heard that they tend to have very nice natures.

Yes they are very attractive and more important than that I personally find them extremely easy to be with, if anyone ever asked me what is the best attribute of a Filipina is I would say exactly that "they are easy and a pleasure to be with."

There are one or two single Filipinas on the forum, none of whom live in the UK to my knowledge, see what happens, you have to start somewhere :)

    Good luck

Well, from your last sentence, I now see what you mean. That doesn't sound promising, I have to admit.
As you say, I have to start somewhere. Is there anywhere else you would also recommend, to increase my chances?

Yes, it may have to come to that, I suppose. But I'll persevere for a while here in the UK first.

I think I can speak for everyone here in saying it will be a trip of a lifetime for you if you do decide to venture to the Philippines.

    Hi and :welcome: rsn :)

It will be very difficult to find a Filipina in the UK.
Not impossible but lady luck really has to be good to you.
If you don't find a Filipina here, go to the Philippines.

I should make it clear that I know this isn't a dating site. However, I thought that contacts might be made, conversations entered into etc. with the opposite sex.

Why is it apparently so difficult in practice - I don't particularly mean on this site - to meet UK-based Filipinas? Surely there are lots over here. Is the problem that the vast majority of them are spoken for? Or something else?

Must admit, the Ladies in Kent do tend to be a bit too posh.

Have you never fancied a Yorkshire lass, lot closer than the Philippines. [IMG]

Lots are in jobs that mean long hours, namely care homes as their focus is getting enough money to send home for family.

I think other have suggested a visit to Philippines. That doesn't appeal?

Well, as said earlier, it seems that may have to be considered. However, on grounds of convenience, cost, familiarity with the UK, etc. a Filipina already here would be a lot easier all round.

There is no easy way, mate............

The lot of us, have done it the hard way, by going over there and meeting up in person.
lots of heartbreaks, lots of tears of frustration, but happy times too, which made up for some the disappointment of being 8k miles away........
And at the end, waiting at that airport lounge, for that special smile to come out of those doors....... Priceless........

Some of our luckier members, have had beautiful children, and I have had the pleasure to see them play together and not wanting to be separated when the day came to a sad end, it was bliss........ I wish I could have had some too..........

Go to Philly if you cannot find anything local, but be wise enough to keep us up to date, so that we can warn you and guide you on a safe path.
