It's a hard question to answer really , how much money you need in your bank .
If you are only saying you will stay for 12 days , in theory 50 th pesos should be plenty , given that you have free accommodation and sponsorship from your bf. However , this will be decided by the immigration officer who deals with your application . There seems to be no financial guidelines we can use for this , so presumably the more money you have , the better .

Regarding your question about how much to say your trip will cost you .
On our application , I guesstimated around One thousand pounds , but told them that I was paying for everything , flights , accommodation , food etc. We were denied visa , partly on insufficient funds in gf bank account .

I recently spoke to a guy who wrote zero , in the box asking how much the trip would cost his wife , as he was paying for everything . He wrote this in the further comments section . His visa was approved .

You can only try your best to give them as little opportunity as possible to deny you . Good luck .

Hello everyone. Just submitted my visa application today. I'll know the decision after 15 working days. I'll share the result here.

Just hoping for the best now. The waiting game begins...

Hi everyone, I got my passport back today. It only took 9 days for the ECO to decide for my application.

Also I paid for the SMS fee which is very helpful... Btw regarding the money I have on my bank I did stick to my 50k savings and got no issues I think, since it's my bf's savings is what they're checking.

The result I got is APPROVED. HIHI
I'm going to UK. HEHE this is my first visa ever and I'm so happy it got approved on my first try.

thanks to everyone who gave their insight. I'll finally meet my bf's parents and friends.

    Happy 2018 indeed.

Congrats @shie1989 enjoy your stay in the UK! Hope you have a lovely time meeting your bf’s family and friends :)

I have a question about the requirements you submitted for a standard visitor visa. Did you submit a “dummy” flight itinerary?

I know they ask for the flight cost and details of accomodation in the application. But I am wondering how applicants manage to provide those requirements without making an actual booking. So I thought there must be a way to book a flight or hotel reservation without paying them (not using a travel agent) in case the visa is not granted.

Hi Rossane regarding the booking I did reserve a flight from a travel agency via Ms. Kach Howe. I just found her on facebook. It's better to contact her they reserved a flight for me for 1500 pesos.
    https://www.google.com.ph/amp/s/mrandmrshowe.com/lifestyle-blog/rent-a-flight-ticket-form?format=amp

Regarding accomodation in UK bf send a council tax and wrote on his invitation letter that I'll stay with him at his house.

Me and bf also made an itinerary about our possible trip in Portsmouth, Horsham and London. A detailed one with the place to visit and the dates.

Aside from that I put some screenshots of our chat together per month hehe
And photos together in SG like 8 photos per page just two pages.

Also this one, I think it's important part of the checklist for the visitor visa is your accommodation in the Philippines or a proof of your house or rented place. Since I'm living with relatives (cousin) I asked her to write a letter saying I lived with her for four years now and attached some utility bills and her government id.

    Hi OTT.

Your point is absolutely spot on.
I gave the ECO bank statements with 50k pesos savings only.

On the application form on the question how much I will spend on the trip.
    I put £100.

But put in on the other question that the total cost of my trip will be £1500 but my bf will pay for everything.

And showed them £5k worth of bank statement from bf.

I guess for others who will apply for sponsorship visitor visa you just have to make sure that what you put on the form will reflect on your banks statements.

Thanks @shie1989 I’ve always wondered how to get a flight reservation without contacting a travel agent :)

We've just submitted Mica's visa application tonight. No idea if it's okay or not. The problem now is that the VFS in Cayman is only open one or two days a month so we have an appointment on Feb 8th. If we get rejected then we have to shoot for the 22nd and after that its March.

My ass is twitching like a baboon sat across overhead two 66kV power cables .
