I'm not sure tbh. But I only submitted bank statements that has 50k pesos savings hahaha #poormode. You can easily ask for bank statements too and for me I think bank certificate is better. The bank account I have is my savings account for 4 years. So money comes in and out constantly.
I think if you're sponsored what they are looking for is the bank statements of the sponsor. Also COE and payslips are them main requirements for us since it's our proof that we will come back here.

I also think that having travelled to other countries like SG will help coz they'll be able to see that you can travel independently.

Bank statement is optional but we submitted it because it is more precise/standard in showing that my bf have the amount that we mentioned in the application form and that he can support me since he does have enough savings.

Regarding SU07 form we are not sure if it's for someone who wanted to stay permanently only in the UK, but it is form signed by the sponsor that the sponsored one, will never use any public funds whilst in UK, it is also optional.

Mica went to the Cayman VFS office on Thursday, did the biometrics and handed over our info pack. No comment or feedback. Been told it will be two weeks.

Hi @rubebe. Have you submitted your application for visit visa? I have applied last feb.20. I am not confident with my money on the bank since i only have 100k. My boyfriend will sponsor my food and accommodation though.

Good luck with your application Shane 2189 . As long as you have a good case with all of your other documents , that shouldn’t be major issue . People with less savings than that have been granted a visit visa .

Thanks @OTT. I have been stressed out thinking about the outcome of my application lately. I am actually a government employee, a public school teacher for 8years to be exact and my only concern is my "little savings" with no other properties. Cant wait to get the result, my intended date of travel is on april 18-may 18, thats the only date im allowed by my employer and my scholarship grantor to travel outside the country.

Yes I know , it is a really stressful time . We’ve done it twice now , and luckily it was granted second time .
For me bank statement for both of you is important, even more than pay slips .

Immigration need to be happy that your sponsor and you have enough money not to need any Uk government help during your visit.
Payslips may prove your income but not that you have any money saved up .

Good luck , I hope you are successful also

As long as you have provided enough documents in your application, you should be okay. Being a publick school teacher, you should have submitted employment letter from DepEd as well as clearance. That alone is suffient evidence of ‘strong ties to ph’. Then if your boyfriend is paying for the trip, then you should not worry abouth the savings part (as long as he sent a letter stating that).

You should get a decision within 7 days and as mentioned, if you have provided those above, you should be searching for flights to the uk.

Am I right in saying that Visitor Visa decisions are made at the VFS regional centre and not the UK?

Hello @Maley. I wasnt able to submit the Deped clearance since I havent have the visa yet. As far as I know clearance from DepEd is needed in the immigration. However my employer stated on the letter that I am granted a leave with pay during the said travel period. I will just process the clearance if I'll be granted a visa. These are the list of documents I have submitted:

    *6 months payslip (September 2017- February 2018)
    *Bank cert Landbank
    *6 months bank statement Landbank
    *6 months bank statement BDO
    *Bank cert BDO
    *ITR 2016,2017
    *Letter from the employer
    *Service Record
    *Certification from the DOST(on-going scholarship)
*Certification from WVSU(on going graduate studies)
    *Itinerary
    *Pictures together
    *Evidence of Communication
    *Cover letter
    *Invitation letter
*Clearance from DOST( Department of Science and Technology)
    *NBI
    *Birth Cert
    *sponsors passport
    *sponsors bank statement (6months)
    *sponsors tenancy agreement
    *sponsors COE
    *sponsors payslip

Nope. Visitor Visa decisions are made in British Embassy Manila Hub however the documents and biometrics are being submitted and done in VFS Office.

If you don't get a visa with that then no one ever will.

That's what I meant really. Mica's biometrics were done in the Cayman Islands but the decision came Jamaica, or that's where the documents went anyway.
