I'll be honest with you, I would never really put British men down as being romantic, at least when other males are around anyway, but we are a little romantic on the QT as we say here :D

"Its the small things in life that really count", that's a really true saying in my opinion.

when i met my g/f she was in the UK on a 4 year student visa--she hadnt seen her 2 kids back home in that time. it really is the way of life for many of them.

When I first heard of Filipinas not seeing their children for very long periods I thought it was almost a form of child abuse (wouldn't happen here), it wasn't until I learned a little of Filipino culture that I realised that they succumbed to many sacrifices to better the lives of their children. I am personally extremely proud of my girlfriend living away from her three daughters in Dubai for years to fund her daughters university educations while her ex husband paid for absolutely nothing.

Another thing too, her kids really appreciate what she has done for them which makes her very happy indeed.

Yes. Quite common from what I have seen and heard.

its been my fiancee's intention to settle here--resume her career ---and support her kids till they join her here---and then support them through their further education.

she told me this right from the outset.

i'm merely a means to an end. lol.

It can drag on, my lady got an annulment, straight forward as it goes but some are not. Like you say, there is nothing you can do about it, that's the frustrating part of it.

Hope things speed up for you, tell the loved one to try and oil the wheels of justice if you know what I mean, it may help.

Good luck with it and keep your chin up :)

The evidences we presented to prove that we are getting married:
    > letter of confirmation of the provisional booking in the civil registry office in his area
    > the list of wedding reception venues ( we haven't decided yet)
    > list of guests to invite
    > the wedding date is mentioned in his letter of support, parents' and sibling's letters
    > receipts and pictures of the engagement ring

Hi everyone, i had just booked my self for the TB screening next week.Well, after sending an email to OMH , i have to wait for a couple of days for the reply but i did not get one, so i have to call via long distance and make sure i am booked. lol
By the way.. i asked a few basic questions from the person who received my call:Is X-ray the only tests needed? She replied, X-ray first then physical examination , When i asked him what is it all about , she said she don't know .Anyone can share what their experiences are?Do we need to bring any previous medical records in case the doctor needs to see one?
I need some enlightenment on this please, thank you!
