hi Nickel.....I had my TB test last May...Just X-ray...but if it's abnormal, there will be additional test...like sputum culture or smear. ..you need to come back for 3 consecutive mornings for sputum collection and then wait for 2 monts for the result. .. .

    Hello again Nickel!
I'm sorry to hear you have to wait for a few days to book an appointment. July-October is the peak season for TB screening and it would take up to 10 days for them to reply via e-mail. Glad that you've tried to reach them through their land line. The physical examination would only take less than 10 minutes, one of the questions the doctor will ask is family medical history. Here's the link where you can find information in what to bring at IOM:

    https://www.gov.uk/government/publi...pines/tuberculosis-testing-in-the-philippines

    Hope this helps..

    Hi Nickel!

    Btw..I'm from Leyt...

My X-ray was normal. .... thanks God..

I think you shouldn't worry about the test if you don't have any history or being exposed to TB patients. .
What I did I drink fresh milk and lots of water one hour prior to my test ..

I understand where you are coming from, Nickel. I've been exposed as well since my line of work involves taking care of sick people. Don't be scared.

Lol that fresh milk strategy , i heard that long time ago, does it really works? i don't know how it connected but i heard a lot doing that and they say it works ..definitely i will do that too!! thanks for the tip girl :like:

No medical required as such. Maybe they need to check you on the outside for TB? My wife didnt need the test as it wasnt necessary under the old rules. So we dont know the procedure - just guessing.

@jaja , i had been hearing this advise for ages and up to now...i am just wondering..has anybody told you how it works?
how much did you have for fresh milk and how much water.. funny that i sounded like silly , asking questions like these..but i really wanted to increase my water intake on that day too and the fresh milk an hour ahead . :)
