The "World's most senior Catholic" is his Holiness the Pope, not a lowly Archbishop from one of our former penal colonies.

    The article reads:
Philip Wilson, the archbishop of Adelaide, becomes the most senior Catholic in the world to be charged and convicted of the offence.

No, there are no allegations against his Holiness.

Before embarking on fantasy accusations against the Pope, perhaps you should look for guilt closer to home, places like Rochdale, and the recent systematic abuse of many young underage British girls by organised foreign, mainly Pakistani, grooming gangs.

The Police and Social workers deliberately concealed the abuse over a number of years and refused to take action to protect the victims.

The social workers and police responsible for the cover-up seem to have got off with their failings scott free, though the police did "apologise" for their failings.

I’m missing something here. Not once does the article mention the Pope. Aposhark even clarified the article by highlighting in bold. It doesn’t suggest the Pope, merely that Philip Wilson BECOMES the most senior Catholic in the world to be charged.

Nobody is suggesting fantasy accusations. It was you who initially mentioned the Pope

Exactly, which is why I was puzzled by the title of this thread which states otherwise.

Ahh, I read the article which then explains the headline. I find headlines generally don’t reflect content. They seem to elicit sensationalism in order for the reader to take interest.

It reminds me of the line:

“King Charles 1st walked and talked half an hour after his head was cut off”.

Reminds me of another group exposed by the Globe in the States

For me, there is a massive difference between predatory Priests who are supposed to look after their congregation, offering moral support, and non-religious people who are sexual predators in the general public.

Grooming gangs are dominated by Indian sub continent men which is hardly suprising considering the sex attacks that go and are hidden there. India is no better. The most likely sex attacker if kids in the UK is still a white male, working alone. Lets not get distracted by racial profiling. Kiddy fiddlers are mostly white and this guy is white. Asian grooming gangs prefer non prepubescent girls aged 12 to 15, white paedophiles are less picky also and harder to catch as they work alone.

Covering up a child sex assault is horrendous and reminds me of Cyril Smith and his ilk. What the "establishment" got away with is disgusting, whetehr it be Smith, Harris, Hall et al. Men's place in the world where they can be sexual predators has long gone... in most places anyway

A 2002 press report about events that happened in 1984...

You have a good memory Keith. :like:

But let's not dwell on what you read in the "Boston Globe" about events 35 years ago whilst you were still a spotty faced teenager.

The important thing is to make sure that similar things cannot happen again, that the recent atrocious events that took place in Rotherham and elsewhere in the UK are never repeated.

Social workers and Police are supposed to look after, and support the general public, rather than allowing paedophilic pervs to run riot, just because political correctness dictates that they should "look the other way".

The UK is going to pot these days...:(

    I agree.

It is also disgusting that false accusations against obviously innocent establishment figures, as spread by fantasists such as "Nick" have been allowed to foment.

Witch hunt against Cliff Richard... terrible.

Totally disagree. Political correctness has absolutely nothing to do with harbouring paedophiles.

    Quite.

So let's not let them get away with it.

Totally agree, that to me is almost as bad and is the fault of the guilty as I mentioned for providing that atmosphere where accusation hystreria can occur. Why the police can make such public cock-ups is beyond me. It seems sometimes that rather than investigate properly they make a lot of publicity and hope someone with evidence comes forward.
