    Thanks for that @aposhark

Good to see that these figures are now recorded, and that work is being undertaken to punish those who may have "strayed from the path", and also to prevent further abuses.

I only wish that other religions would do the same, however child abuse is widely accepted by some as the cultural norm.

Perhaps rather than intolerantly shouting "racist" at anybody who tries to point out cultural differences, it is better to accept that certain aspects of foreign culture are incompatible with ours.

I doubt that the information about Catholic child abuse came from the church itself. They have a well-documented history of suppression.

The following article points out that grooming gangs of Muslim men have failed to integrate into British society:

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/20...-muslim-men-failed-integrate-british-society/

Within that newspaper piece: It says that the gangs of mainly British-Pakistani men "have been influenced by the cultural conditions of their home country and a wider failure of British society to integrate these men into their adoptive culture".

Anyone of us who could drive through places like Bradford, Batley, Leicester and Luton and it is clear to see that there is a disconnect.

The argument could be made that "they bring it upon themselves" but I feel many Muslims feel they are ostracized.

Couple this with their well-founded feelings that Muslim lands have been victimised and there really is a cultural gap that is still as wide as the grand canyon.

People like Tommy Robinson only inflame the situation when most people in the UK, both moderate Muslims and moderate non-Muslims, abhor the actions of sexual groomers.

I'm not sure what relevance this has in this thread. Is your head on fire, Dave_E?
(If this is moved by the mods, I will re-post this post there too.....)
This was the first single I bought, in 1968
Played it for my Nan who thought it was "very noisy". She preferred Conway Twitty
Saw him in concert at the Liverpool Stadium in 1973 (I think) doing "Journey"; great early synth playing, blew everyone away.

The Catholics should surely expect to burn in hell fire for child abuse, hopefully other faiths will be sent down there as well.

    The words seem rather appropriate.

Good choice for your first single!

Anyone who hurts children deserve long prison sentences.

The lyrics of the track were a little baffling rather than appropriate though, even as a teenager. Surely "God of Hell fire" is an oxymoron!
On a side note, neither exist for me, being atheist.

I find these stories to be incredibly sad and disturbing.

There's quite a number of similar cases cropping up over here, catholic churches, first nation children, lots of unmarked graves :( I wonder if there's any similar tales in the stronghold of Catholicism the PI :ninja:

I hope not, as you will agree being the father of a lovely little girl.

The catholic church needs to allow priests to marry so they are not emotionally isolated and therefore less likely to abuse children.
