Blimey, where we went to school we were taught the proper border was from Bristol to Watford... anywhere north of that line was just referred to as "The North" :D

For me Klopp is up there with Shanklin and Paisley.

There are rumours about Xabi Alonso taking over.. Personally I am in doubt as he is doing a stellar job in Germany, managing to perfection Bayer Leverkusen.

Shankley and Paisley were good, people often forget about Joe Fagan and what might of been but for the Heysel stadium disaster telling on his health. Then there is Dalglish who has one of the best win rates for Liverpool.

I Think the problem here is the use of the word/homonym Manchester...

Yes, there is now a Greater Manchester, which people from the boroughs probably refer to as Manchester , that United are in, the same as there is a Greater London:

    Which teams are in London?

Originating from London, I would say: Tottenham, Arsenal, Leyton Orient, West Ham, QPR, Fulham, Chelsea, Milwall and Charlton are pucker London teams.

For me, Watford, Brentford, Wimbledon, Crystal Palace, Hayes and Daggenham are not "London" ok they are in Greater London but that's not what people, from my generation and London, think of as London.

In fact, Wimbledon and Palace would have been in bloody Surrey up until about 60 years ago or so!

Just because some jobsworth in government re-draws the boundary lines it doesn't make Wimbledon a London club :like:

Bolton and Wigan and other Gt Manchester towns still like to be called "Lancashire" as so dose Manchester.
