May's Queen's Speech has been passed 323 to 309 - the ten DUP votes weren't critical.

The fact is that the DUP would not vote with Labour anyway, so the £1,500,000,000 given to Northern Ireland to end austerity in that corner of the Disunited Kingdom is May's Folly.

    Here's Heidi Allan.

    http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/tory-mp-voices-fury-parliament-10710286

And that's not the only disgruntled Tory MP, Theresa May is already facing a rebellion on the Public Sector Pay caps from some others (Allan is not in this batch of rebels).

Of course, when the Tories won the vote to retain austerity (and power) - they saw it as an opportunity to cheer their "victory" and the fact that more public sector workers will see their wages drop in real-terms. That will be remembered the next time a PM has to thank Public Sector workers. Even if the pay cap is ended after 7 long years, last night did more to annoy our brave firefighters, police, teachers and nurses than to appease them.

John Major was often seen as a weak leader, but May is really struggling just weeks into her minority Government. It comes to something when even Andrea Leadsom is seen as a viable alternative

    I know you like polls

I wonder if you like Nicky Morgan?

So many unhappy MPs to contend with, and rumours of a Tory MP defecting to the Liberal Democrats on a well connected forum that I visit! Already, many are looking at their numbers and know their seats are up for grabs. No-one does self-preservation better than a Tory, we've seen that is abundantly clear since May 2015.

    How about the old guard?

    Here's Chairman Patten

Does that mean the money can go to the health service of the United Kingdom?

    Don't forget,

We are still sending £350 million a week to the EU.

Who cares?!! Just keep those smiling faces coming my way, keep 'em coming!

Because they are POSITIVE ratings, same as "like" and "agree"! Or maybe you're too dumb to realise that! :p

You appear to need reminding that your leader has remained true to his long-held anti-EU sentiment as has his entire frontbench team (except those who were sacked yesterday!). They all want Brexit to happen - including leaving the Single Market and Customs Union - because they don't want any interference from the EU who'll stop them creating state-subsidised industries.

So you're a Brexiter, Keith, like it or not!

    This from Guido Fawkes:

"Frustrated Remoaners have been decrying the Tory government-propping DUP as homophobic because they oppose gay marriage. Yesterday Angela Merkel voted against legalising gay marriage in Germany saying “it should be between a man and a woman”. Where is the outrage from the usual Europhile loudmouths? The virtue signallers who banged on about Trump? Has Chris Bryant tweeted his disgust? Silent hypocrisy."

It was funny when first published in the Mirror last July. Kind of old now though - bit like Labour's leadership :p

Thank you for posting that false photoshopped image Keith.

I prefer to look at "facts" myself.

If the Chancellor decides to invest additional funds into the British economy during the Brexit period, all well and good.

Far better to support our own people, than to sell them down the river, by supporting the German Empire building that the EU has obviously become.

I am absolutely perplexed by this. I remember you giving some people a drilling down here for speaking against Duterte - he was democratically elected by the Filipinos was your argument.

Now, you are quoting a source that is criticising people for not speaking against the person democratically elected by the Germans! Not so silent hypocrisy from you here.

    Haha.... brilliant.

Even Tory MPs are saying that this deal was not necessary. There are rumours that some are considering pressing the DEFECT button already!

My goodness, you're quick to board the outrage bus today!

Really? Where? I'm sure you can provide a link to back-up these statements .....

Hmmmm, sidestepping the point again. I suspect you can't answer it.

The rumours I am talking about come from a very well connected forum that I post on. I'd love to share the link, but I'd prefer not to be followed around.

Merkel is against gay marriage on religious grounds, the DUP is against homosexuality. Merkel brought in civil unions I beleive, the UK gov did that against the wishes of the DUP. Also, the free vote for gay marriage was brought in by Merkel who knew she would lose. She did the wrong thing for her beliefs for the right reasons. She is if you like an honest Tim Farron. Only with charisma, power, integrity and political success. I like Mutti Merkel. The DUP beleive that the Giants Causeway is only 6000 years old... Because God created the world 40,000 years ago.

Seriously? If the DUP voted against then it would be 319 vs 313 and the bill would have failed.
