I was searching for something else but came across this report published yesterday that the government is ordering labs to stop processing the £69 home test kits.

The one she bought is the one the government are buying. Same product. The government seem to have bought both. Roche / Abbott. Both have a near 100% specificity and sensitivity.

Sounds a bit like Russ Abbott :D

“Questions about the accuracy and reliability of the new Covid-19 antibody tests had prevented policymakers from rolling them out but last Wednesday it emerged that Public Health England had given the green light to Roche’s version of the test the previous week. Then on Thursday it endorsed a version made by Abbott Laboratories.“

    :)

The Medichecks site does not actually tell you if it is Roche or Abbott it only lays claim to equivalent accuracy, I did search to try to find references to the manufacturer of the test on Medichecks maybe I missed them, but that was not the point really it was more that the government had ordered all online home test then lab processed tests to be halted.

We've been referring to the antibody test (John and me) which may or may not tell you if you already had SARS-Cov-2 but were not aware of it or mistook the symptoms for a cold or flu.

She said it was an Abbott test. Someone she knows used the same source. They both use Abbott Freestyle Libres to measure and record their blood sugar levels 24/7 pretty reliably, so had confidence in their Covid 19 antibody tests. The NHS prescribe Abbott blood testing equipment and have done for a few years now.

Lancashire Council have said no to this. So my daughter’s school isn’t taking these kids in this week.

They have rainbow coloured sand beaches in IOW. My mother had an ornament with a sample in it.

I'm actually fine either way, I like being amongst people in the Philippines but less so here, in the UK I like the quiet and peaceful places
