i couldnt care less what addicts consume--but i do care if i get robbed by some junkie to pay for his next fix. Give it to them free. Long may they live to enjoy it.
Nothing is free, it would have to be bought from source, tax-payers would have to pay to fund the end users habit.
misery watching a friend of mine--whose 40+ old junky son has bled her dry over the last few years to pay for his supply. Turned her into a worn out near destitute old woman. Hes waiting till she croaks it and he inherits her bungalow.
Ii have encountered none, so I would rather not finance an addicts needs either directly or indirectly, that's why I said the Portuguese system is better than most, I don't drink, smoke nor partake in recreational drugs so can't see why I should finance another's vices.
Wasn't it the Reagan's idea to "just say no" in the U.S. Fat lot of good that did. The USA jails are full of people done for grass and domestic issues. It justifies the penal system.
People serving life sentences for cannabis in the same state that makes millions from it through tax and LEO are also working in the industry nowadays, the war on drugs was won by drugs.
https://www.history.com/topics/1980s/just-say-no I lived in the U.S. for many years. I knew many people who took recreational drugs and some who took harder drugs. Not many took no drugs. I was married to an American woman who was a school counselor (uk equivalent is counsellor). Many things she told me used to make my toes curl. The war on drugs was lost many years ago there. In the 1980's in Baltimore, there were people on many street corners who were selling "baggies" (small bags of crack cocaine.) I don't know what it is like now.
The Internet has added new impetus to the drug trade, Davao cops a month or so back caught a guy selling online via Insta, I know the States was ahead of the game in this.
The dark web has many tentacles. FMPOV, I always like to be compos mentis as my joy is watching my family all the time. It wasn't always this way but children change everything. I last had a hangover in 2009 and my daughter was born in 2010.
I never understood why people felt the need to be drunk or stoned, ever, but that's just me I never judged them, just never understood them.
Yes, thoroughly enjoyable, gritty and dark, life hustling drugs in the projects, worth a watch, one of the stars died last month of a heroin overdose.
You are different than most people, Druk1; most people seem to like to put things in their bodies that will alter their perception of reality. Alcohol is the world's most popular mind-altering substance.
