Another 'kick in the teeth' by UKVI...

After more broken promises from UKVI, about receiving a response within 15 working days of them 'escalating' my Fiancee's application - whateverTH 'escalating' means? - yesterday my fiancee received a message from someone she met at her IELTS exam, who submitted their (non-Priority) Fiance(e) Visa application MORE THAN A MONTH after ours, telling my fiancee she had received the text message saying 'a decision has been made'. (still waiting to find out what the decision is?)
I have today emailed UKVI again, to point out that they have missed yet another target for contacting us - 15 days from the date of escalation, as quoted in their email - and to ask for an explanation of why a(n) (non-Priority) application submitted OVER A MONTH after ours has received a decision already! I also asked for details of how to make a complaint against UKVI...

I'm certainly considering getting the MP involved, but we are still some way from the 100 days you mentioned... or the 120 days UKVI now quote on their stats page!

    But you paid priority right?

Thought you did. But still, it's taking too long.

Yep even though they are now quoting 120 days for 'most applications' (in April), that shouldn't affect applications made in February!!! Checking every day for May's stats now...

Statistically there is always a chance that yours or anybody’s might be released as one of the last few percent, unfortunately.

From a lighthearted stance, does your surname or your other half’s, begin with a ‘Z’ ?

Perhaps every time you contact them they have to take your application out of the queue in order to update your correspondence notes.

There is a fine balance between wanting an update and being perceived as a pest.

@UKDJ how many working days are you on now?
Today is my working day 91.
My experience contacting my MP is not great, all they said is they will escalate, and expect to wait 3-4 weeks for a response! I will call them next week.
I've called the visa telephone line twice, again its been escalated and they cant give any more information than that.

Maybe it depends on your MP? Coz i've seen in an FB group, they tried contacting their MP. Their MP helped them and they got the visa.

Yeh for sure, i dont have a helpful one! Infact im not even dealing with my MP, its the secretary! I am also heard how some MPs are very proactive and hands on in helping. I will try call next week and get on the phone to him.

I agree. New applicants should have some idea of timescale when they apply, but for applications already 'in the system' it is a complete p*ss-take!

They must have done the Z’s first then and worked backwards. :D

I understand 'someone has to be last'... My main bug-bear - as I mentioned at the start - is that a non-Priority application (as ours was), submitted over a month later than ours, has effectively been processed!
