Ah, yes, I did misunderstand you but not deliberately, I assure you. I completely agree with you; there was a systemic failure by successive governments right from the time they arrived.

They are employed by the Government to do what the Government tells them to do.

No matter how much nice "What you can expect us to do" / "be helpful and polite " guff is posted on their website, they are not working for you, all you can do is hope that they do not succeed in their task of finding a valid reason to reject your application.

You are just like one of millions of dumb-ass factory farm chickens trussed up on a conveyer belt and waiting to be processed as far as they are concerned.

    Have a nice day. :D

    Any news @Crafty ???

I have emailed UKVI again today, as they are expertly adept at not giving direct answers to direct questions...!

Technically speaking you are not their client/customer and they are bound by client-confidentiality and very strict data protection legislation. Might I suggest you ask your better half to email them and see if she fares any better - if for no reason other than to strengthen your complaint when you eventually make one.

'Technically' we use a shared email address and I emailed UKVI on behalf of my Fiancée...

Today is day 95. Still nothing. @UKDJ
I rang my MP (secretary) on Tuesday. We agreed we will give them the rest of the week, and if they is still no update then she will escalate again next week. I'm going to have to really push next week, even try to organise a meeting with my MP.

I think you'll find UKVI are 'the weakest link' in the whole process...:D

I think I will give them until 90 days - despite receiving another 'your case has been escalated... give us (another) 15 days to answer' automated response email yesterday! - then I will consider approaching my MP.

I hope they are more efficient than the Passport Office.... who it seems, carelessly left all the docs for my son's application on a shelf for almost a year. He now has his passport... after around 15 months. You'd really like to get hold of some of these useless prats, and give them a kick in the knackers.:boxer:

An appalling case of incompetence, but I'm sure their regular 'turnaround' figures pale into insignificance when compared to UKVI!

With a child born overseas, it is a combination of both.

I would never wish to make sweeping comments like that when the party is not here to offer its views,I only speak as I find them and we received a standard service from them in all 5 of our successful applications.

If you don’t mind me asking guys, how do you go about the Tb test if you are heading towards the 90 + day area. Surely it must be close to expiration?

Ah okay. That was more of a curiosity question since I haven’t even applied yet, it just made me wonder with the time frame seeming even longer
