Hi, hope everybody is doing well.

I am here to report back with a good news. I have just got my visa yesterday!!

Just wanted to drop by and thank you all for the help, guidance and encouragement throughout this depressing process.

I am thinking of everyone here as i know how stressful and mental torturing this whole process can be. Here is hoping a speedy decision for everyone.

    Regards,
    Jennifer

    That's great news,

Can you let us know when you applied, what visa priority or standard.

    Thanks

Good to see a few granted visas filtering through.
Day 64 for us. My other half has had 3 emails from VFS in the last week. They're all from somebody different asking for her phone number. She obviously replies quickly as the email are stating they want to 'call her for further information'. Each time she replies she gets an email off someone else asking for her contact details again. Anybody else experienced this. I'm assuming it's just another incompetent cog in the chain of VFS getting their admin wrong.

    Sorry for the late reply.

My biometric appointment was on 17th June and it was a priority settlement visa.

I sent off my pile of documentations from malaysia to uk on 24th of June and the record shows that Sheffield received it on 26th of June.

On 8th of September (which is a friday), i received emails from vfs saying "your application has been processed" email and my passport are then delivered to me on Monday.

It took 53 Business Day for me.

For my case, i have been granted a five years visa instead of the normal 33 months because my spouse is in armed forces. Hope it helps.

Thank you everyone for the well wishes.

If your wife does get a call from them, at least she'll be able to ask questions. Day 70 for us.. no word from anyone - VFS or UKVI. Not even a not straight forward email after Day 60. Nothing at all. Sigh.

If I were you send an email asking for information and also contact your MP and get them to make enquiries...its about the only way to get a proper responce from them.

Agree with Matt. Get your local MP on it. Doesn't cost anything. Do what you can to get your application looked at.

Day 66 for us.....a call from VFS at last for my other half.....about to get excited until...."can you come back to VFS we need to scan your documents"...."which ones" the mrs replied. "All of them!!!!!". To say this is a low point in this process is an understatement.

OMG. Seriously? I feel so bad for you, especially for your wife right now. If I were in your wife's position, I'd be crying. I hope she's ok. That's just sad :(

We were going through that 'we'll get a result any day now, hang on in there' stage. I think we've given up on something positive happening soon. No-one will give us a reason why everything had to be re-scanned. VFS did tell the other half they've had to do it quite a lot recently. They didn't ask for any additional documents (which we knew they wouldn't because we were very thorough in the docs we submitted) so it's not down to something we forgot to do.

It makes me want to weep. I really feel for everyone on here. The Immigration department and all concerned with it are a disgrace.
We're on standard application. Now on day 89.
