Day 110 for us and still nothing....im speechless.
Im off to see my darling wife for 4 days. Booked a hotel in manila and meeting her there....leaving Friday and come back Thursday next week. Only 4 nights but worth the effort and money. Cant wait to see her again...it will be our 7 month anniversary on Saturday :D. I havnt seen her since I left the Phils on 1 March...if only we had known what we were in for...we had plans for her being here in May lol:lol:

Hi @Pete1542 I hope you can help me. I also have an email from UKVI asking for additional supporting documents, email saying "You have not provided a clear TB certificate". I also used the scanning service and I am sure I had it scanned in VFS. May I know how their email to you was worded? I am just really confused whether they meant that my TB certificate was not clearly scanned or if they need me to submit a fresh certificate (my TB certificate expired last Sept 14). I am very worried as we were given only 5 days to send this document. My passport is with the embassy and IOM requires my passport to have a TB test done.

If you can rescan ASAP and email it to them...if its a pass its a pass. They did the same thing to us and we definitely had all our docs scanned. If you take too long in sending it they will refuse on the grounds of lack of information. Its a dirty tactic to clear some applications. Send it to them as soon as you can and it will be fine.

Meant to say that if it has expired it does not matter...it was valid at time of application and thats the only thing that counts

Thanks @Matt P I have sent to them my expired tb certificate, its the only one I have anyway. Its just that their email is too general and vague, like a standard email template. I did email them back for clarification and they said it's sufficient. At least we know that they are already looking into our application. Good luck to us, praying for a positive result for all of us waiting. :)

So working day 73 today and had an email.
    Yaaaaay some news at last........
    Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for applying for a UK visa.

Due to it being our busiest period, I am afraid we are unable to make a decision on your application within our usual timescale. We aim to make a decision on your application before 31 October. If for any reason we are unable to do so, we will write to you to update.

Staff at the visa application centres or contact centres have no influence on cases and cannot provide any further advice so we recommend you do not attend or call the contact centre. Please do not go to the Visa Application Centre until you have received written confirmation that a decision has been made on your application and that your passport is ready to be collected.

We understand this will be frustrating to you and regret any inconvenience caused.

We will contact you shortly to update you on what is happening

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Kind Regards,

    UK Decision Making Centre

The most vague and ridiculous mail. They didn't even bother putting a name in the email, it's so impersonal. It's a shameful service.

definitely not the news you were hoping for. the only good aspect is that you have proof they have your application and it is in the system. but as you say--shameful service.

i wonder just how many staff they have working on the applications.

You can't tell me it's not deliberate, making us all wait. Probably so they can keep this years immigration numbers down.
We are now on day 96. Despite the missed target dates, phone call and email, and them promising to respond, deafening silence!

I bet if management had bonuses for getting the decisions within 60 days they'd nail it every time.

The email does smell of something. No application reference number, no greeting of a specific person etc etc. As mentioned earlier it points to a batch being put on hold to manipulate immigration figures.
