Hello BF friends, sharing with you our good news :)
Aug 7 - biometrics, document scanning at VFS, paid priority, email confirmation from UKVI
Sept 21 - deferred application email requesting for tb certificate, copy sent
Sept 25 - decision made email
Sept 27 - received passport with visa!!! :)

We'd like to say thanks to everyone who have helped us in our application, you guys have encouraged us and helped ease our worries. Also to those who have generously shared their experiences, we never would have got this far without reading about your stories. We understood this confusing process because of you. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all so much!
We hope that those still waiting will also be granted their visas soon!

It seems so, we were also quite surprised. We prepared for the worst so we're very happy we got the visa earlier than we expected :)

    Just an update,
we have had confirmation a decision has been made.
    Now the wait!

useless though as she can't travel, as we need our daughters paperwork to be completed by the very clowns that took too long in the first place, We havent even started that yet! And NO WE WILL NOT PAY PRIORITY FOR THAT OR ANY OTHER PAPERWORK TO DO WITH VFS OR UKVI!
    Still fuming!

ok--just that it has a 30 day travel timeframe. so if your intending to wait till you get the child's visa you will have to amend it.

Yes it will have to be amended because no-one would leave their baby alone. She is Newborn last month!

I've received a reply stating "my enquiry, with regards to escalation has been forwarded to the relevant department in the Home Office". I will be contacted in 20 working days.
Now where have I heard that before?

Usual waffle and time wasting tactics.

    Anybody else had this reply?

Dont hold your breath...after asking my local MP to request an escalation he was told they dont unless on compassionate grounds. But who knows...the monkeys at the HO are not exactly consistent in anything. Good luck to you though. Maybe in future applications ill slip in a few bananas to see if that "helps along" the decision ;)

@royal we didn't get that reply - just the one I've already posted up on here.

My MP did send an enquiry about my others halfs application on working day 60 but hasn't had a response yet.

All responces from Home Office to my MP took minimum 3 weeks...the MPs office advised me of this as it has to go through a number of "official" channels. They dont have direct access to the immigration department

Thanks @Matt P didn't expect anything back soon from my MP but as long as she's on the case I feel we've done all we can on our side to get things moving - even if it probably won't have any effect on the timeframe we wait.

@surreydave All we can do is stay positive.

@mattp At least a monkey would know how to peel the bananas!

As we used to say, "hurry up and wait".
