@royal have you escalated your case, or where you asked to resubmit your docs?

Immigration department are a disgrace. Not an ounce of empathy from them. Anyway, i won't go on a rant, i've already aired my frustrations enough on here. We're staying positive through the tears and frustration.

What i learnt in basic training for the Royal Navy has kicked in 'it's all a game, don't let the bas***ds break you'

One day soon we'll walk hand in hand past the home office while i'm showing her round London, and the miserable home office civil servants will walk past us heading home, hating their life and their jobs....and we win :)

That is just shocking @surreydave never thought this could happen. I hope that after this your visa will come quickly. As far as I know VFS have strict service levels. They do have a complaints section in their website, if you would bother making one. May I know if you used the Manila or Cebu VFS office?

Good luck mate. Hope you weren't one of the bootnecks that ambushed me when I was a bit tipsy returning to a base in Poole one night and ran off with my half eaten pizza!!! If it was you I rescind my good luck comment

@Roseanne J it was Manila. The escalation/complaints process is well under way.

@Dave. No mate. In my day we had a harmonious relationship with you guys.
I left in '74 so that might exonerate me?

@royal you're in the clear then. I was still in nappies when you left so you now have all my moral support for your application

Interesting...I also submitted my application in the Manila office. Wonder what's gone wrong this time that they had to do it quite a lot recently. :erm: That explanation just wouldn't put your mind at ease. Good luck, hope this gets sorted out soon!

So, after phoning them 3 weeks ago, and them promising to email me within 15 working days, surprise surprise, they didn't.
Would some kind soul on here please give me their email address? Day 91.

You need to pay almost £6 for an email.

@diane1982 Not getting any joy with that Diane. I tried Application status and also Settlemment visa with the GWF and number. Not recognising either with the reference.

I ticked the box "Outside the UK" and it worked fine. Sent the email, and got the reply, "we're very busy blah blah blah, if I don't hear within 5 working days, to phone them.
So going round in circles now.
They are making a mint out of our misery.

Hi everyone.. my daughter and I finally got our visas today. Yay! Here's our timeline:

    May 26: Online Application
    June 5: Biometrics (Priority)
June 6: Email from UKVI confirming receipt of application
Aug 26: Emailed them to ask about the status of our application.
Aug 29: Escalation has been made
Sept 6: Called UKVI helpline, lady said BOTH our applications have been decided on Aug 24, should receive passports by end of the week
Sept 8: No passports. Called again. Agent said my daughter's application hasn't been decided yet o_O
Sept 13: Called again. Lady said my daughter's application has been decided on Aug 31, mine on Sept 8 :erm:
Sept 18: Got an SMS from VFS (around 7pm) saying a decision has been made and to expect delivery of passports
Sept 19: Working Day 74. Passports received with visas. Note that mine has 2 vignette, one cancelled because it was valid from Aug 24-Sept 23. Lol.

    NOTES:
    - We never got any emails from UKVI or VFS, aside from the confirmation email. No not straighforward email or email to pay for my daughter's IHS
    - The tracker doesn't work. It still says not recognized
    - Once you get a text/email from VFS, you can track your passports via 2g0. Just enter your GWF #

Hope these help! Thank you to everyone on this forum. I really appreciate all the replies to my queries, etc. I hope everyone else who are still waiting will get a decision soooon.
