I know I must undergo the TB Test in Makati, as I did one before. (It will expire soon).

But can I take the English Language Test here in Mindanao? I would like to do that first, then fly to Manila and do the TB Test and submit the application.

Follow the link below and it will show you all the English tests that are accepted by the UKVI, click on the links of the varies test providers and it will allow you to search for your nearest test centre.

There are two IELTS test centres in Cagayan De Oro though the British Council, which is one of the authorised testers for that city, has not actually conducted a test there.

I'm surprised nobody has worked-out who you are!

Hello again Kaye. Out of all the UKVI-approved English Tests, I can only give you info for IELTS. There are actually 3 centres that are authorized-- British Council, IDP and Cambridge University. The first 2 are available in the Philippines.
I agree with @Markham that the closest testing site you can be in is IDP Cagayan De Oro

IDP Education Pty Ltd - Cagayan de Oro

    Address:
    Cagayan de Oro

    Tel: 63 2 816 0755
    Fax: 63 2 815 9875
    Email: info.manila@idp.com
    Web: http://www.philippines.idp.com/ielts.aspx

    Test Fee: Pesos 8,900

You might also want to have a look at the site for British Council:
    http://www.britishcouncil.ph/exam/ielts/dates-fees-locations

#British Council - Cagayan de Oro

    Address:
    Cagayan de Oro

    Tel: +63 2 555 3000
    Fax: +63 2 555 3090
    Email: britishcouncil@britishcouncil.org.ph
    Web: www.britishcouncil.ph

Took the IELTS twice since the first one reached it's validity of 2 years but passed both with flying colours. My first was in IDP Marco Polo Davao and my retake was in British Council SMEAG Cebu.

I am going to take the liberty of updating Kaye's thread for her she took and passed the IELTS at the last session under the "old rules2 in Dipolog, She travelled to Manila and stayed with a cousin to do the TB test and to submit the papers and undergo the biometrics, Now, we wait...

    ...and wait...

Kaye just calculated that today is 30 working days after she did the biometrics...

It was fine until Kaye calculated that thirty working days had passed. Now we know we are in the minority of cases, so we worry.

From the figures it looks like processing has slowed down a bit.
Figures right now for July are:
    15 days: 9%
    30 days 59%
    60 days: 97%

I seem to remember that the figures for May had more applications processed within 30 days. So following that trend perhaps the figures for August are even worse. Plus August has the bank holiday in it.. Probably a busy time of year.

Also, maybe your dates have been thrown off slightly by the confusion over IHS at the start. Looking on the bright side its getting more and more likely that you'll be hearing as each day passes. :)

34 working days since the biometrics. 21 in August and 13 so far in September. Well, we wanted K to travel in October...

Now it is 39 "working days" since the biometrics and still no news.

We are very worried now. We can only suppose the file is sitting on the desk of an ECM. We were told they try to find reasons to fail fiancée applications where a child is involved. So perhaps that is what is happening here.

    It is all very unpleasant.

@Methersgate If it was 34 working days on Thursday, it cannot be 39 working days today (Sunday)

Sorry. My mistake. 21 working days in August plus 14 working days in September, for a total of 35. But other people have got their visas already.
