"I'm going to clean your house. Don't watch me!"
(At 4.00 pm) "It's not dark yet! Come on - let's get started on the garden!"
(At the Remembrance Sunday parade - whispered in my ear... ) "Are those real soldiers, mahal? Their uniforms are too smart!" - "They are very real indeed, mahal - they are officers in the Parachute Regiment!")
"The sun! I saw the sun!"
"How do Englishwomen ever get clothes dried?"
"Cigarettes are thirty five pesos a stick?... !!!"
"Your fuel bill is HOW much! Turn it off - we are wearing jumpers!"
"Daddy! Daddy! The milk is outside the front door!"
"Everyone stops at a red light - even when there are no policemen!"

You should try the sauces she makes for herself! Charles needed a glass of milk and an ice cream before venturing to speak.

Am wondering if I imported a Thai by mistake?

Maybe you should get her some of this.

Tabasco is way overpriced and you use too much. One drop of this (or something similar) is more than sufficient.

I thought it's only me who supplies Tabasco sauce. Unfortunately, as per GP's advise, I can't eat anything spicy at the moment.

Why has your GP advised against spicy food?

It triggers my cough and reflux. I'm really into spicy food but she said it's best to avoid them from now on.

One point: you can no longer do an English Language Test in Mindanao - you have to go to Cebu.

@Methersgate I've came across this thread and it was so entertaining to read about the visa waiting game. Remember the excitement/eagerness/anxiety/joy you had a year ago? :)

Hopefully ours turn out positively too

Thanks for digging out this thread, Joi!

Well, we are now almost a year on...

The Stepsprog took to his new school like a duck to water... "most popular boy in the class".. "such beautiful manners"... "has worked really hard..." .. and of course... "really cool Mummy!"

We got married... almost at the last moment...

We applied for the FLR (M) 48 hours before the Marriage Settlement Visa expired.. (we don't recommend this...)

K and k went back to Mindanao to visit the Outlaws during the summer holiday... during which K managed to forget my birthday, so I bought myself a new toy...

and the Stepsprog's birthday was not forgotten...
