England's new centre half warming up before he flew to Australia just in case he gets back to the UK/Qatar in time after eating one too many scorpions or other defenceless animals.

I have absolutely no interest in how Engerland get on in the World Cup. They killed it for me when all the kneeling rubbish began. Same with F1.

Awkward for Maddeley too! From a feminist point of view, but I guess that although scoffing Neville won’t watch a second of the tournament nor follow football clubs patrolled by businessmen with heritage from countries with similar human rights issues!

Neville is not the first person to sell-out, and he won't be the last.

I think taking the knee was very positive.

England stars ARE determined to continue taking the knee at Qatar World Cup as a powerful statement of equality... as Premier League captains hold meeting to discuss whether clubs will continue gesture this season:

Humans often see things from different perspectives.
It can create and promote balance in my view.
The most important thing is our freedom to express them.

Gareth Southgate names his 26-man England squad for the World Cup on Thursday.

Looking at that squad, some decisions by Southgate are just puzzling. 3 right backs and only one recognized left back???

Why is Harry Maguire, who can't get into the United Team in the squad.

No Ivan Toney or James Ward Prowse?? JWP was a no brainer in my opinion. Mason Mount should never be in that squad.

Kalvin Phillips. Hasn't played much this season and yet somehow, he gets a spot.

Yeah, Southgate seems to go with previous tested players and not players with good current form.
Maguire and Sterling are not pulling up any trees at the moment.

Maguire style of play doesn't suit the current managers style of play at United, this makes him in many peoples eyes as useless, but he is a good reliable player for England, a plodder yes but he normally do'es ok.

Ivan Toney distracted and a distraction with his alleged involvement in gambling on football matches, which is banned.

JWP cant comment on nor Mount

I doubt he cares what Hislop and the likes think! He must of known and probably been advised he was leaving himself open to criticism, he has a view he can criticise the regime from his commentary platform and beyond, time will tell.
He is clearly high profile and people jump on his back and leave others alone, odd really oh and he is ex Manchester United doesn’t help him
