Is it true you can get exemption from 18,600 on the financal requirements when applying for visa if you are on the disability living allowance, if this is true then what visa's can you apply for, like i was wondering if ok for spouse visa, thanks for replies as i am learning more each day from this site.

Yes it is true you can get an exemption, you will of course have to supply evidence of you receiving the benefit and so on as you would expect.

Edit: Its fine for the spouse visa too

I think Howerd knows a lot about this one.

It has to be disability allowance not incapacity allowance, there is a difference, as John says, someone with more knowledge on this subject will post.

as i understand it--each applicant has to pay all the visa fees----so your calculation is just for the first stage Timmers---so adding the FLR and ILR fees--plus 2nd NHS charge--the total will be about £5000 for each member of the family. but i could be wrong--ive not really looked that far ahead in my case.
