I'm glad you managed to find the thread, it is Howerd I was talking about in your other thread

You need to read the Government information on which benefits can be used in the application, for example I do not think child benefit and child tax credit can be used, its up to you to find out the information required. The information Howerd has provided in this thread should be very useful to you. When you are searching for information about your application make sure the information is current.

Read Appendix FM1.7 financial requirement (I already gave you this in another thread) and read the information in the link below, I can assure you all the information is there. You need to find out which benefits are permitted and which documents to submit to evidence the benefits your spouse in on.

Unfortunately there are no other members that I know of, the vast majority here on the forum apply for their visas under Category A salaried employment.

I'm not sure if he went through the process himself, I hope too that he can overcome his illness and return to the forum, I enjoy his posts very much.

Adequate maintenance is no big deal to evidence, you basically have to prove that you have £111.00 (possibly more now) per week over after paying rent etc.

You will need to provide documents showing he is being paid PIP, a list of documents you will need to submit will be in the links/downloads that I have already posted.

Good you went that route deanobeano, I didn't realise, so all in all much easier to evidence than the regular way.

The adequate maintenance requirements is just the exempton on the financial part of the visa as not in full time work.

I already knew it was possible, I just do not know the exact evidence to submit with the application, deanobeano will now be able to be specific in the requirements.
