Hi everyone!. Here is my story and hope you can give me some advice if you have knowledge with this kind of situation.. I am 3months pregnant now with my British fiance for 2yrs and we are working on our visa.. When it comes to financial requirements they said it should be previous 6months right?. Is it allowable even the bank statement is not shows previous 6months as long as the financial requirements meet?. Pls. Feel free to comment!. Thanks everyone!. ☺️

Hello Leslie. Welcome to the forum.

To highlight your concern about providing evidence of the financial requirement, hope this link from UKVI would help.

3.3.5. The bank statements must cover the specified periods as described in the Immigration Rules for each of the sources of income relied upon.

Please read the financial requirement guidance notes found in here
    https://www.gov.uk/government/uploa...exFM_Section_FM_1_7_Financial_Requirement.pdf

You need to submit the last six months wage slips with bank statements that correspond to the wage slips, this is the UKVI way of cross checking that you get paid the required sum and that it is paid into your bank account. You also need a letter from his employer stating how long he has worked for the company, his salary, job is permanent and how long he has been paid that salary for.

Thank you Trimmer!. Here's the thing he is gonna use his savings account since he only have minimum wage that won't be able to meet financial requirements.. Can he combine his savings account to his income?. Another question is.. What if i apply while i'm pregnant?. Do i need to pay for the baby or include as additional dependent for financial requirements even she is still in my tummy?.

If you look at the financial application form it states how you can combine his salary and savings, regarding baby, you will not have to pay extra but it will be worth stating on your application that you are pregnant with the loved ones baby.

Thank you Anne!. This visa thing is confusinb and frustrating.. :( a year ago we paid for a barrister to help us on out visa.. The barrister wasn't very helpful at all and we found out that there are lots of complaints against them.. So now we decided to just do this on our own.. We got the barrister because we were kind of confuse of what we need to do.. This barrister provide as wrong information which we thought everything will be ok since we were have a little problem when it comes to financial requirements.. Now we don't have anymore problem with the financial requirements but still confusing.. We calculated for me and my daughter who will come along with me but now I am 3months pregnant.. So if we gonna apply after i gave birth here in the Philippines that will be additional cost for us for the visa..

The money that will cover our financial requirements was just put on his account this march and said it should be previous 6months.. So we don't have a choice but to wait for previous 6months till we can get copy of bank statement.. They have family business owned by his parents where he works but his salary is just a minimum wage.. So what they did to meet the financial requirements is his parents provided him the money for his savings in order to meet it.. Is that ok?.

It is very frustrating Leslie, but I'm sure others here at BF would agree that it does get a little easier as you start to go through the visa process, slowly but surely things will become clearer for you. Others here have had similar problems with Immigration Lawyers, you do not need them, everything is here on the forum to help. It is a very expensive process, more expensive than you probably realise, but it will all be worth it in the end I'm sure.

That's fine, I'd have done the same in your position :)

Do I take it then that baby will be born before you come to the UK?

I think so Trimmer coz if we need to wait for 6months for bank statement that's gonna be september before we can apply and my due will be on september also.. So we don't have a choice although we wish i am already there before my due..

    What makes you say that?

The visa is almost identical, the fact that you are married does not matter, it is all about meeting the requirement set by the UKVI.

The £62,500 is for if you are using savings only to meet the requirement, the minimum you need in the bank is £16,000, only savings above this can be used as going towards meeting the requirement.
