Mattecube, tipipay, Brom27 - thank you so much for the fulsome replies, really appreciated! I think I'm clear. I think as a result I'll have to wait until after 24th January to get my latest payslip before sending the docs over and clicking submit. Or... would this work? Submitting the online application around 12th January to "stop the clock", so that my December payslip would suit, then having appointment booked for late January so we should have the English test cert and everything in time to submit at VFS? I'm just thinking on saving time, or I'll be sending the docs at the end of January and everything shifts back half a month or so. Our ideal schedule is for Jasmin to be able to travel in mid-April, so allowing up to 2 months for the decision, I'm thinking to save that time. I can always avail the priority service if I need to though.
Thanks bigmac yes those points were a big part of deciding to marry in Butuan, plus her family could attend etc. Lost some of that saving as I made an extra trip for the marriage licence but as we had delays (see my thread!) it was the right choice definitely. By the way thanks for your various posts I keep coming across and finding so useful as things are now accelerating! I plan to be a long term member here to hopefully help others and not just rock up asking questions...
you need the english test pass result before you submit the application no exception there is a section on the electronic application asking how you meet(if not exempt)the english language requirement you put your pass certificate number here.Without the pass you cannot submit your application and do not forget the tb screening pass
Ahh. Bugger. My fault for not going through the form yet and answering my own questions! Thank you, that kinda settles things then and I might have to look at the priority service to suit our schedule
believe me--that priority service is well worth it--if its within your budget. it wasnt available when we applied--last december. it was THE longest 2 months of my life --and i was the sponsor! also--dont forget--her TB test needs to be less than 6 months old when she applies.
Hehe! Yeah I wasn't really looking forward to the wait. Waiting for the visitor visa previously was bad enough, so I'll cancel Christmas shopping and save the extra £500 cheers on the TB test, looks like the place is in Makati so Jasmin can get to that easily.
yep--this is the one and only place: https://www.gov.uk/government/publi...pines/tuberculosis-testing-in-the-philippines. think of the fantastic christmas you will have next year!
Thanks mate, yes next week will be bittersweet so soon after being together but Skype is my friend and am trying to look forward
That's right, look on the brigther side. After all this, you'll both be together in the UK and will live happily together. Wish you all the best
Hi everyone, for those already submitted and for those succesfully applied for fiance visa, did u include money transfer receipts? Not sure if i have to include money transfer receipt on my application since the sender is not on my partners name.my partner send money by means of western union transfer using our friend's online account and he just pay her in cash.. I asked him to make his own western union online account but said its too technical and easier if he will just hand in cash to our resident landlady who is also a good friend of ours..
I didn't inlcude the WU receipts.. I know a lot of succesful applicants who didn't submit that too. I don't think it's necessary.
If that's the case, it's a bit complicated since the name of the sender is different and you will need to give or provide explanation for this. You might want to reconsider not to include it. If you have postal receipts, and other things that will connect to your relationship with names of you/your fiance or both, include it. I submitted postal receipts, tour receipts, plane ticket receipts/itinerary (with his/my name), e-tickets, hotel receipts, angkor wat tickets (because it has our photos), museum tickets which matched to our photos, etc. Good luck!
I have not included any financial stuff other than bank statement for my fiance visa application. We have almost always split all the bills equally for anything (except for flowers and gifts) so im not sure if that is critical in the application or not. Based on your statement, including those WU receipts would just complicate things.
@Brom27 I don't know if this was asked before, but how many photos in total did you submit? Also, wala bang balita? I'm excited to hear about this particular update!
Hi @Numpters there is no set numbers to submit we submitted photos from each visit over the years with family members, friends different locations demonstrates you are in a true relationship.
I submitted 10 pages of it with 4 photos each page clearly dated and captioned. Just don't bombard them with too much photos. Try and send those taken with family and friends and pictures with you and fiance going around in a certain place or if you've been to the UK showing landmarks and important places.. Wala pading update unfortunately. Hoping to hear from them this month..
