It will be easier if you make an appointment to go there personally with all your documents and let the advisor to pick whichever documents he/she requires. This is what I did and I never had trouble with my application being rejected. It cost more than sending by post but it's all together better and faster process. :)

    Hi Brom,

I have a quick questions... When you submitted your VAF4A and Appendix 2, did you give them one or two copies of each? And how did you guys formatted your documents? like a pile 2 piles separating the original and copies or original and copies together?

    Thank you.

No need to make a copy for the Appendices and the application forms. When I did mine I have two separate files, one for original and one for photocopies.

Another question.. Can we post to Sheffield a sample of our wedding invitation?? Or does it have to be the real one? However, the orinigal copy sample is not on A4 size. Shall we still submit it? Thank youuu..

Not sure really as I didn't have to post my docs - I doubt the original will be needed, it's more your main documents like ID, bank statements etc.

A wedding invitation is not really necesarry. The main thing is to have a booking with designated registrar.

Oh okay. Yes we do have that and had received a letter from registrar regarding the ceremony.

In relation to bank statements, my fiancée just downloaded her copies online, stamped and dated them from her bank. Would that be fine? They won't sign them stating that the stamp and date should be alright?

i do online banking--but i went into my branch--and got them to print off the last six months, stamp and sign each piece of paper.

They had stamped and dated each front of the statement and did not sign. On top of the e-document says Online Copy. Staff member said that that's fine..? Just scary!

Also, my fiancée had a Filipino passport until she became a british national. Would her filipino passport be necessary when submitting the documents?
