No, just the closure of the book, what happens happens, but it was the majority vote. its a truism you can't please everyone in life, time will tell how it plays out, its all guesswork, no one has a crystal ball

Whether we agree with Brexit or not, we will be seeing the end of the freedom of movement in 6 weeks.

Unless of course loopholes are found around it.

There's only so many holes can be looped, FOM as we know it isn't coming back.

Consider the scenario where an employer wants to hire an Eastern European after 31st December. An agency has them standing by. As the agency makes money from such an arrangement they agree to bring the Eastern Europeans across complete with visa, providing them with accommodation for which they deduct an amount from their wages.

What is in the way of that? English language test maybe?

This is something being talked about on the grapevine. If this happens it will be a hollow victory for the anti immigration leg of the Brexiteers.

Talked about, that's chatter, discussion, debate, FOM as we know it is finished, brexit was fought on that battleground, the winning team would be foolish to turn their back on those who voted for them :)

I know. There has been plenty of p1ss taking for a number of years. But there are loopholes whereby that p1ss taking can continue.

It does. But only a percentage. Maybe 50%... maybe less.

50% still leaves rather a lot.

It will be interesting to see as the new year pans out.

I figure most will think it's far to much trouble, after all they will still have FOM in the EU, what's the allure of the UK, points based immigration is far better.

That’s what I have heard. If they can find their way around it they will.
