Enjoy, I have no intention of going back to the UK. Happy to stay here with the noise and typhoons.

This week a local Lithuanian family who had settled here for a number of years have uprooted to settle in Germany. One of the children was in my daughters class. They were good friends and had been in each other’s houses. The parents were nice people and worked in a local factory that supplied meat products to some famous brands.

I don’t know the reason why they uprooted but cannot help thinking that Brexit had some impact.

It would be interesting to see genuine figures of how many Europeans have left the UK in the last year because we voted to leave.

Indeed. This family didn’t need to leave the U.K. . But chose to. They are not the first I have come across to elect to return to Europe even though they could have stayed beyond 31st December.

One of the other lads on my team has often said that if conditions get excessively onerous in the UK as a result of BREXIT he will just leave and go home to Ireland, and he still has the CTA to rely on to stay here, but these people like him and his wife feel the animosity they feel unwelcome because half the country sees them as unwelcome, I would be deeply upset to lose this lad from my team, he's bright, very likable and works hard.

So a lot are leaving, and no doubt a large number in that half of the UK population I mentioned will be saying good riddance further validating their feelings.

I enjoy a bit of Ludwig Van. Unfortunately the rest of my immediate family don’t share my liking for classical music. :D

I think that people enjoy classical music or at least orchestral music far more than they realise, it is such a large part of the soundtrack to TV and Film and often makes or breaks a movie, it's an integral part of the experience and has been for a long time now.

    ravels bolero

first time i heard it was in walt disneys film fantasia--the water sketch. anyone remember it ? i was a kid.

years later--it was on a dansette record player. me--a teenager--she--a few years older--her mum was at work. that girl stripped to the music, happy days.

I think you might be referencing "Rite of Spring", Ravel's Bolero was in Allegro non Troppo, the 1970s Italian parody of Fantasia.
