The best way to get copies is for your partner to ask the solicitor he used when he bought the house, I'm not sure why they ask for these documents as proof of mortgage should be enough. One good piece of mortgage evidence to submit is the end of year statement which we receive each year from the bank/building society we have lent the money from.

The land registry just shows the boundaries that your property covers and the deeds show a record of the owners from when the property was first built, note that you only get the deeds when you have paid off the mortgage, again the solicitor will have a copy.

Hi Timmers. My husband is still paying for the house.
He said he doesn't have the title deeds yet.

Now we're not sure what to get in the land registry.
We tried sending them an email last week but hasn't received any response yet.

If you don't have the original copy yet, you could also try getting an online copy of the title register for a fee, not sure now how much. It was around £3 before.

    Thanks guys.
Do we need to request for the official copy or online off version may suffice?

We can't see the official documents to be requested in the site. Or they only allow the online document?

It's also in the link I sent you above. We submitted the online copy though. For accommodation evidences, we provided the following:

    -title register
    -utility bills
    -council tax statement
    -phone bills

    Hello all

We are about to submit our evidence and I remember reading on here somewhere that you have to submit 2 copies of everything. Of course I can't seem to find that post or any official mention of it either (but it has been a long day so apologies if it is super obvious to find!)

One is your original evidence pile and the second is a photocopied duplicate in the same order.

    Is this correct?

Do we need to make an appointment in the Philippine embassy in London To update my passport. Or can we do walk in? To get the BRP in the post office I just need to present my passport?

You have to apply for a new passport now if you want to change to your married name, download the forms from the Embassy website (I think they need triplicate) and go to the Embassy in London, it is first come first served basis with no appointments available (pay for new passport in cash only).

If you apply by post for your FLR then you will be sent a letter from the UKVI to take to a Post Office that does the BRPs, if you go for the premium service FLR then the biometrics are done while you are there and they send you the BRP in the post a couple of weeks later.

    Website for London Embassy is below;

    Hi,

We are about to apply for my wife's FLR but unsure about what name to use. Her passport is in her maiden name but everything else (bank account, utility bills, GP, etc.) is in her married name.

I can see that either way it is going to cause a complication, but should the application be made in her maiden or married name?

    Many thanks!

we used the name on her passport as her name on the FLR form. there is a question on it that asks if she is or has been known by another name--we put her new married surname on there.

It needs to be done in the name in her passport.

It won't cause problems. We are still using my wife's maiden name on the passport and BRP and everything else is in her married name.

Just give it a mention in your cover letter and state the reasons, amd put it as an AKA as explained by bigmac

No need to report your marriage as you were married in the Philippines, you can change to your married name when your passport is up for renewal.
