    I quite liked Weymouth. Probably changed a lot now. I dont remember a lot about it now. I was down there studying. Its part of the Jurassic coastline, so my brief was to knock bits of rock off the cliffs there etc and work out what was going on.

    Used to call into the Smugglers Inn at night for a swift pint. Summer 1977 actually, not 78.

    I see the campsites etc are still going strong.

    The Jurassic Coast is England’s first natural UNESCO World Heritage Site and ranks among the Great Barrier Reef and the Grand Canyon as one of the wonders of the natural world.

    Yeah you should get a lot of takers....all those on FLR / ILR not wanting the hassle of going through the Shengen visa process.

    I think you may have to apply through the Manchester Spanish Consolate as John did, if you are spending more days in Spain than Germany then you have to get the visa from the Spanish Consulate, vice versa if you are spending more time in Germany. Read the information below, it explains all.

    My wife had to apply through London. But Shengsei would apply through Edinburgh. For Spain, the Manchester option seems to have gone.

    "VF Services (UK) Limited in Manchester is pleased to announce the opening of its Visa Application Centre on behalf of the Spanish Consulate in Edinburgh . This service is open to all nationals in the following areas only , who wish to apply for a tourist, business or transit visa to Spain:
    Cleveland, Cumbria , Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, North Yorkshire and West Yorkshire."

    My wifes Schengen visa via Manchester was for Portugal.

    You're right John, I was initially guided to the Manchester site when I Googled, the site below is the one for Edinburgh;

    Yes. I thought it was Manchester, but then speedreading through the blurb it looked like Edinburgh.

    Wish it was Manchester for us too.
