Visa decision-Fiancee/Settlement

Hi everyone,
On December 29th 2015 my Filipino fiancee received an email stating that a decision had been made.
There has been no communication since, probably due to the holiday period.
When and how will she be informed officially of the decision?

Terence, she will only know the decision outcome when she holds the passport in her hand.
Did she arrange for courier delivery or collection from VFS ?

She will collect her documents in person as soon as she is informed that they are ready for collection.

Then once she opens the package that's the time she'll know.

The visa application was successful. My fiancee submitted the documents in person to VFS on 7th December and a decision was made on 29th December.

Today my wife received the Decision email:

Online Application- 5 January
Document Handover/ Biometrics (VFS Manila) - 2 February
Decision email received - 15 February.

Documents are to couriered, so should know the result in the next few days.

Should we be worried? I expected the processing to take at least 30 working days.

I feel that the application was good in that we met all the criteria and provided the evidence required, all of which was cross referenced.

But we are feeling very nervous now.

Does the processing time start from the online application date or the day of the document handover/biometrics?

Hoping for positive results! I've read from several threads that some applications were processed way sooner than this, others longer but got their visas regardless. I am still waiting for a decision on mine, did my biometrics on Feb. 4th. I think it starts on the day of the document handover/biometrics, but I can be wrong.

We have to be strong now...very nearly there. Waiting after all the hard work preparing the documents is not easy.

Agreed. I just dreamt about it last night haha! It was an officer who handed me my passport with the visa but it was only valid for 2 months. And I was like, this can't be right because the visa should be valid for 6 months. And then the officer changed it. Lol!

He was obviously a good officer. Lol

Nerve wracking but hanging in there!

That was a quick processing time...ours took 5 weeks. Only a few days now. Try not to think about it.
