Visa decision-Fiancee/Settlement

Good morning Diane, yes we were applying for a spouse visa.

Anne rang me this morning 2:15am (UK time) Lol - she has her visa!!!!!!

I'm very suprised how quickly it was processed:
online application - 5 January
document handover/biometrics - 2 February
notification that a decision has been reached from British Embassy - 15 February
notification from VFS centre that the processed documents have been received from the British Embassy - 15 February

The date on the British Embassy 'your application has been successful' letter was 12 February.
Which means that the processing was done within working 8 days of submitting the documents.

The validity date is 3 May 2016 and the BRP will be available for collection in the UK from 10 May.

So all very exciting for us.. just need to get the CFO sticker now (Cebu), but can't collect that till 3 May or later.

Seeing as it is the presidential/vice presidential elections 9 May, I think we will target mid to late May to make the trip to the UK.

Hi deanobeano... yes it's great news for us. No I did not pay any extra other than for the Premium Lounge, which does not imply faster processing, but just made the process easier for Anne in that she did not have to queue to submit her documents.

congratulations on award of your spouse visa. we also have good news, received the passport with visa grant sticker. Deep joy for us!!

Process timings:
Apply online and pay fees 15 jan
Attend VFS Manila for biometric and provide supporting documents 25 Jan
Received email on decision 16 feb
Received successful letter and visa 17 feb

We are so happy as my husband is also an Australian citizen and worked in UK since september. Concerned about his 2015 dollar salary for the application.

Now I think I need CFO sticker in passport. Can I get this before visa begin date, this confuses me.?

Congratulations to you both Diane, that is great news.. I'm very happy for you and know exactly how you are feeling today.... a great day for both of us and our loved ones.

Have you attended the CFO Seminar and received your CFO certificate? If you have, you now just need the CFO sticker - an appointment is not necessary for this, you can just turn up (Manila or Cebu) and ask for your sticker.

You can NOT get the CFO sticker before the validity date shown on your Entry Clearance visa.

Where are you planning to live in the UK, Diane?

Thank you for the response sir. Yes I already attended the cfo seninar and received my Cro certicate here in Manila sir... Sir can I go there a day before my entry clearance visa like 24 of March? .
