I really laid it on thick about her returning back to the Philippines , so every opportunity I made it clear that she would go back at the end of her stay
like in my supporting letter I said I would be personally picking her up from the airport and personally taking her to the airport so she can get on her flight back.

also what might of helped is that my gf has recently bought a franchise so that might of helped prove about a reason to go back
and from last time when we was refused my local MP got involved as the visa people wouldn't respond to our emails about doing a eco review, he wrote a letter asking them to review and respond my lawyer, but by this time we had already re applied and I still haven't heard anything about that.

Hello I will soon be visiting my boyfriend in the UK from the Philippines and will be applying for a UK torist visa. I will be initially booking a two week trip but my partner has said if things go well he would like me to stay longer. If I initially tell embassy I plan to stay for only two weeks will I still be granted a six month visa that will allow me to stay longer of needed?

In principle the standard UK visit visa is usually issued with a maximum validity of 6 months.

Declaring a 2 week visit and staying longer is always going to invite extra scrutiny of any subsequent visit visa application especially if the ECO believes there was prior intention.
On the other hand declaring an initial duration of 6 months also has it's risks.

Wew!!! Been to UK last June2015-Oct2015 this is my second time by the way and I enjoyed my Summer and Autumn combined. And came back to Cebu with a happy heart. I just want to share my experience. Last 13 Jan, I applied for another visit visa (3rd application) and this time I requested for a long term 2 year visit visa and reason I gave was annulment still pending and boyfriend busy with work most likely I will be traveling. And after submitting documents and biometrics, the waiting game begins. Surprisingly 18 Jan, I got email saying a decision has been made. 19 Jan 2Go delivery pop in house and I was very nervous why it was that quick when I did not pay for priority service. Opened parcel, looked for passport and Yes!!!! Got my UK visit visa valid until 2018. I was in tears

Hi Leo, First application the sponsor my fiance now said, he is inviting me for a 1-2 weeks holiday to experience Winter. I was granted 6 months. When I enterd UK my confirmed booking was for a month. The border control did not ask any question. Second time, my sponsor said, he is inviting me over for Summer and what it is like compared to summer in Philippines. When I entered UK I showed one month itinerary again but I rebooked to four months later. When I came back here in Cebu Philippines, waited for three months and applied for another visit visa and granted. I hope all goes well in May and then you can invite her in the UK summer

In his three cover letters always and always 1-2 weeks holiday only.
