Hi guys! Me and my daughter are applying for a family visa this yr. my husband is in the UK. We got married last year. He has ILR visa now. He was granted limited leave to remain on 2005. I would like to ask for help with the following queries:
    • How do i apply for my daughter? Should i apply for her separately. Like, in applying online, do i make another account for her? Which appendix do i fill out for her?
    • Which documents should i send it its original form? And for those photocopied docs, do i need to have all of them certified as a true copy or maybe notarized? Which needs a certification? Which does not?
    • For the age in MM/YY format, how do i write that? If i am 28 yr and 10 months old, do i write 10/28?
    • Is it ok to submit copy of remittances receipt and bank statement (less than 6 months) as a proof that he is sending money for me and our daughter, as part of proof of relationship?
For now those are my questions. appreciate all your help. Really want my family to be reunited this christmas.

Thanks! I have more questions though. Regarding financial requirements. My husband's stepgrandmum (not legally) has lended him 5k pounds to help us out with the application expenses. Is this alright even though the money was not transfrred to him not six months prior to our application? Though, we certainly meet the income requirement. How much savings should he have to in his account? Thanks!

if the sponsor meets the requirement through earnings--no need to show any savings. dont complicate things !!

Heya guys!! Appreciating all you replies to my queries. I have another question regarding accomodation. So my husband lives with his mum, his stepdad (but he is not legally adopted) and his half brother. The house is under his stepdad's name. And we are planning to stay there also for a month or so until we find a new place to live. Do u think this will affect our application in a negative way? Coz the owner of the house is his mum's husband?

Yes we will have our own but our daughter will be staying with us in the room because she's just one. Although my mum in law says that they have one more vacant bedroom.

might be worth getting a survey done to show there wont be overcrowding.

you will need written permission from the owner to say you can all live there.

alternatively--get your husband to rent a place for a while. must be 6 months to run on a tenancy when you apply for the visa.

not relevant. the stepfather is--in effect--the landlord. doesnt need to be related.

So it's ok to write stepfather or i should just put landlord or maybe just mother's husband? Coz there is a question in appendix where you should give the name of the persons living in that house and their relationship with my husband.
