I was contemplating about that earlier and realise that i wont really need those so why submit them so yeah ive decided to omit those documents with no bearing to our application. Thank u guys!

Hello guys. I wanted to ask something regarding the documents. As i understand it, my daughter's application is separate from me. So it means she'll have her own set of application pack. Now im wondering if its ok to provide just one bank statement for both us? like after they scan the bank statement for my application, i will use the same for my daughter and have them scan it. Thank u!!

I don't know. I personally supplied full sets of documentation with each application. I would suggest that you do the same, so that you do not miss anything when you are in the office.
It's a risky business trying to rearrange your documentation on the fly and ensure that it's all scanned properly.

doesnt the whole visa application process gobble up 000's of acres of paper.! i was looking at appendix 2 for my wifes son. most of the questions--and pages--dont apply--so why print them ?

Because the law relies on rigid process. You could well argue that it's a waste of paper to print and personally serve a summons and complaint or file an affidavit of service. However, that's the way the courts work.

Thanks for the replies guys! Buy how about p60? Is it possible for us to get two original p60? If we cant get two, i will just photocopy it for my daughter's pack.

    When I said print two packs I would do this ;

Copy your pack in full all originals in your pack relating to you

Put in your daughters pack all originals relating to your daughter ie Birth Certificate (copy in your file if you like)
Any records from your pack you want to put in your daughters pack (for instance your birth certificate P60) copy and we wrote on the top the main applicants application number

You will then have 2 identical packs put them in exactly the same order
    Have an index for yourself
Present both identical packs for scanning

I did exactly what mattecube said,2 identical copy sets going in each application with the originals going in my wife's unless they were specific to my stepdaughter..The only difference being I sent all our documents together from the UK.

how should i properly and politely convince my mum-in-law that we shud write property owner as to the relationship of my sponsor to mum-in-laws husband. They're insisting i shud put stepdad even though he is not legally adopted. I just dont want to write something that i cant support with a legal paper.

i only found out recently that step-dad isnt a legal definition in the UK. it simply means the man who is married to a persons mother--but not biological father.

Hi guys! Just wanted to ask about accoMmodation documents. Do i need both the land registry title and mortgage statement or one of them is enough together with the owner's letter and the survey?

if you are going to be paying rent--you need a rent agreement drawn up showing at least 6 months tenancy at the time you apply for the visa. also written permission for you to also occupy the property. as its not the sponsors property--the land registry and mortgage are none of his business or concern.

We are not paying rent but the house we will be staying in is owned by husbands stepdad. So letter from the owner, the survey which we already had the result and pictures of the house will be enough?

make sure the letter says you can legally live in the house.

can i ask what the survey cost you ? only another member was discussing having a survey done the other day.

Yes we will make sure of that. Regarding the survey, i already ask my husband how much he paid for the survey. Still waiting for his reply. It took like a week for us to get the result.
