1) Do we need to put signature on Appendix 2? There is no box asking for signature though

2) Is PSA copy of marriage certificate from Philippines enough proof of being married? Shall I also include marriage contract (not PSA copy), marriage license, pre-marriage counselling certificate, affirmation of marital status from British embassy in manila?

3) Can UK sponsor take good picture of his UK passport biopage and send by email to visa applicant, who can then print and include with visa application? OR does it need to sent by post?

4) Shall we include all pages of UK sponsor's passport including blank pages?

5) Does anyone has format of sponsorship letter?

6) Who writes the letter explaining relationship? UK sponsor Or visa applicant Or both?

7) Do we write name on back of visa applicant photos?

8) Do we need to submit passport size photos of UK sponsor too?

9) UK sponsor was divorced before, so shall we submit his original divorce certificate? OR photocopies are enough?

10) CFO certificate need to be included with visa application?

Another question: 'Date of Intended Travel' is allowing me to choose future date of upto 180 days, but VFS website says one can apply only 3 months before intended travel date. Can I choose 180 days later date for travel date?

Put your number as it is in the Philippines, its no big deal.

You need to be applying 3 months before, at the moment the UKVI are saying 60 days for the visa process so I'd be tempted to put the travel date a couple of months after you are applying if you are using the regular visa service.

Just bear in mind with your application timings that you are only given one month to use the spouse visa (vignette in passport) when granted.

Few questions for spouse visa from outside UK:

* Pdf copy of online application has a space for photo (see attached pic?). Do I need to put photo there? Shall I use staple or glue?

* Pdf copy of online application has a space to write date by hand. Which date shall I write? I submitted online application on 04Apr, payment on 05Apr, visa appointment on 04May, Sheffield office might receive on another date.

* If I use optional courier service at VFS, will they accept cash, OR shall I pay online on vfsglobal website? I prefer cash though.

* My sponsor will send supporting documents to Sheffield. On visa appointment date, shall I still bring Appendix 2, and photocopies of supporting documents (TB/English/Marriage certificate etc)?

* After online submission of application, on the front page, all sections are green, but last 2 sections (Commercial partner and Print application) are still black. Is that normal? See attached pic.

* Now that sponsor will send supporting documents to Sheffield, does sponsor need to send his original passport?

1. I didnt put photo in mine so I don't think it will make any difference with you but if you decided to put one don't use staple, ever.

2. Write the date on the day you will submit the documents.

3. The courier service can be paid in their office by cash.

4. If the documents has been sent to Sheffield I don't think it's necessary to bring the photocopies with you as VFS will only get your biometrics and they have nothing to do with those documents.

5. I can't remember if mine we're all green but if you have registered with VFS and then printed it off that shouldn't be a problem.

6. A copy will be okay. Only the applicants passport need to be physically present.

Is Appendix2 considered a supporting document OR a part of application forms?

@prolife Saw your questions regarding photos. I don't think there's a need to bring one or attach one anymore. I was also confused because previous applicants always had 'passport-sized photos' on their checklists. But I think that's what the biometrics is for. In the documents checklist VFS hands out, it says that you should just bring one if you are exempt from taking the biometrics.

Well basically Appendix 2 is a requirement since things about how you meet the financial requirement will be stated there.

No you don't have to. The VFS has nothing to do with any of your documents. They will just get your biometrics. The ECO in Sheffield will deal with the Appendix 2 and the rest of your supporting documents.

Hi guys Husband paid visa application yesterday and my appointment for vfs will be on May 12 at 9am. I just wanna ask if May 12 is also the deadline of submission for the documents to sheffield? Thank you.

@lainchelle It's not. I don't think there's a specific deadline, but it's always better to send the documents before or just shortly after your appointment, especially if you've paid priority. Thing is, if the ECO looks at your application and sees that some files are missing, they may just deny you a visa.

It says you have to send the documents to Sheffield as soon as possible after you submitted the online application.

Your document says, one should send supporting documents to Sheffield after biometrics. But VFS Philippines website says, one should send supporting documents asap after online application submission....

Your documents also mentions different Sheffield address. I think you should follow what's on VFS Philippines website.

It seems your documents is outdated...

I just googled it so i want to know if this is correct
