Okay folks so, out of boredom and curiosity I emailed UKVI asking for an update about my application and got a response saying my application is 'yet to be assessed by an ECO'. I kinda have that impression already since I'm still on the 6th day of waiting. This waiting game seems to be harder than I thought.
And you still have around 40+ more days to go excluding holidays. Hahahahaha. Watch anime series or movies so you wont have to think about it too much. Here are some of my favorites: Series: For romance Kimi ni Todoke Bokura Ga Ita Action: Full Metal Alchemist:Brotherhood Attack on Titan Hunter x Hunter 2011 Psycho Pass One Punch Man Movies: The Girl Who Leapt Through Time Your Name Tokyo Godfathers Hotarubi No Mori e English Series: Game of Thrones Dexter Korean Novela Descendants of the Sun (hahahaha) Or try climbing a mountain. Mt batulao, Mt maculot or Mt maynoba for beginners. Or go to the beach. You wont see a lot of beaches when you go to the UK. You'll definitely miss that. Hahahahha. There are a lot of things to do. Get yourself busy so you wont get paranoid thinking about the visa too much. Hahahahhaha.
I submitted our documents yesterday. Remember the post passport sized photo not needed? (Fiancé visa) posted by lonewanderer, that's me yesterday haha yeahh I took the priority so maybe next week we'll get the positive result hopefully.
You seem to have a nice movie list I actually have 400+ movies on my PC but I've watched them all. I'm considering watching my favorite tv series again -- Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, Supernatural and Vampire Diaries I can't really go out coz my friends work all the time and I'm very dependant I can't go out on my own I'm trying not to worry but I just can't avoid
Try anime! You'll forget about the visa in no time. Hehehe Or since you havent traveled alone why dont you try it. It's a great experience, you'll get to know yourself more and you also meet at lot of people. Try Batanes.
I'll try Descendants of the Sun, my friends been watching it. Will I enjoy it? Haha I'll try animes too lol just to keep me going. I don't like traveling alone haha I'm too shy.
Why not spend time reading and researching the place your going to live in the UK? While my wife was waiting I set her a number of questions each day. Her English benefited and so did her knowing about places we have visited since she got here.
That's a good practice for your wife which reminds me my partner bought me 2 quiz books that I have to master and he said I should match his knowledge with geography, which is highly doubtful I'm interested to know more about the UK but I'm too lazy to read an I'd rather watch it's documentary or movie if there's any
Yes, a very good idea to learn as much as you can about your new host country, you could also be research the jobs market if you intend to find work after marriage. New opportunities await you in the UK young man
@Brom27 you can do a lot of research in relation to the job that you could work in. Dont laugh but i did a computation of the cost of living in the city (monthly cost of grocery, bills and etc and then annualize it) so i can have a targeted salary that i would accept once it is time.
U tube is your friend amongst other media sites. Don't be lazy enjoy it. Where in the uk are you going to live?
Makes sense to do some research, that way there are no major surprises when you arrive in the UK. I like the idea of a target salary, I wish I could have a target salary
It's interesting to know more about the UK conaidering it's very rich with culture and history. I actually installed Indeed as what you suggest in one thread before which I bumped in to and been looking for job prospects.
Yes been trying to look for job opportunities where I'm going to live Don't worry I won't laugh, that's very wife material tho and I'm afraid I'm not good at that. I'll just leave it with my partner for now. He's very good with money and knows how to budget and he keeps telling me I should learn from him
Couldn't agree more, YouTube has been my best friend lately lol. I'm not into YouTube before I only visit it sometimes but I find myself so much into it We'll be living in a small town in Lincolnshire where the highest parish spire in England is (if I'm not mistaken)
