You can actually attend the seminar in advance without the visa yet and once you get your visa you will have to go back to get your cfo stamp. But for me I will wait once I get the visa so I won't have to go twice as I love far from Cebu and Manila. That will save me cost. :D

are we talking about a visit visa or settlement visa here ? if its settlement ( the thread title suggests it )--then the applicants salary is irrelevant. its all about the sponsors income--and 6 months bank statements are required.

You should get your result before me since you applied first so let us know as well. God bless to the both of us. :cat::like:

Yes it's about settlement so the applicants bank statements for 6 months is not needed :)

That was just an example, and it's case to case basis. What I'm trying to point out is don't submit too much documents that aren't relevant to your category.

So for category A, the applicant's (me/Filipina) financial status will not be credited. It is solely on the sponsor's side to meet the financial requirement.

Sometimes it's not 60 days. I've got mine in 41 calendar days, 27 working days. I lodged my application last October 1 and got the decision Nov.16 (including delivery to my address).

I just observed that during the last quarter of the year, the decisions are somewhat expedited. Maybe they are working double time because of the holidays? Just an observation, I may be wrong. :D

That's what I thought, applications lodged towards the end of they year seem to have faster processing times as I said I knew someone who applied last year who applied December 15 and got the result January 8 which is very fast considering it's not priority :D

If thigs go according to plan, I'd go on the 18th of January but I might extend depends how my friends and family would react. They might think 18 is too soon. How about you? When do you intend to travel? :)

    Yup, all booked. :D
It will be on 14th of January. I still have to attend CFO in Manila before that.
And hopefully to get rid of this terrible cough before I fly. I'm thinking it will be better to get a flu shot before going to the UK.

Hehe yeah mine is getting close, I hope everything will go according to plan. I can't stay longer here if I get my visa because of giving notice and if we want to marry on my birthday then I'll have to go by January or first week of February. When do you plan to get married anyway? :D

I really hope we can all meet in the UK :) Someday. :D
