I'm just thinking about availability at the CFO that's all, at least if she attends now you have a little more breathing space.

You'll have about as many clues as to if they will issue the visa as we did, as in none

fair enough - but once the visa is issued we must have several months to get all this in...shirley. ha.

She will have one month from visa validity to use the visa and enter the UK, remember that.

We have a target for her arrival by OCTOBER-DECEMBER 2017.

If you feel very confident then she can do this in advance. When I attended the seminar lots of people there don't have visas yet they just want to get it done ASAP.

You have loads of time then. No need to rush for the seminar. :)

Cannot be, you will have to apply for the visa later in the year if that's the case.

Ok then. Once I'm happy with everything and the fee is paid - I'll tell her to go and do that.

The target doesnt mean she cant come earlier - but the decision can take up to 60-90 days or more.

I got the impression you were going to wait till the visa was issued (using 10 day premium service) and return to the UK with her.

No rush then as young Brom said regarding the CFO.

If you apply in March you should get a decision by May. But it's not possible to go until October as the vignette is only valid for 1 month. Unless you request for a transfer.

    OK then - thanks.

lets just say she gets accepted for a visa in MAY or JUNE.

Do we then have to get her to the UK inside a month or ONLY after the seminar and sticker thing kicks in. ???

Yes it can take up to three months (more likely two) but once the visa is issued you have to use it within one month.

If she is not coming till October I would leave it three months from then before applying for the visa its really as simple as that, pointless applying now for sure.

You would then have one month to do the seminar and go to the UK after the visa is issued.

In the application form it will ask when she's planning to come to the UK if you put October then the application will be turned down as invalid since you applied too soon

Just leave the application till June/July, easiest.
