Has anyone ever gone through withdrawing their application and requesting a refund? How long does it take to get the visa fee back?
Also, I cannot amend anymore the GWF form we have withdrawn, should we create a new one? Thanks!

once you submit an online application--you cannot edit or amend it. i believe you can withdraw and request a refund.

We have withdrawn the application and now waiting for the refund. They did not send us an email whatsoever to confirm they have received our request and they are processing it.
We will create a new application then, thanks @bigmac

My local registray would not let make a provisional wedding ceremony booking. But i was able to make a booking for the notice of marriage once my fiance arrives in the UK. I have a receipt for £70 and the confirmed date. Is this enough evidence for intent to Marry?

Also im confused about posting the documents to shefield. Whats the procedure once we apply. Thanks again for all your help.

I've not gone through this yet but as I understand you have 2 options in sending your supporting documents. You can send them to Sheffield, they will scan the documents and send them back to you. Or you can avail of the scanning service at VFS (Php 3780) when you attend your appointment, VFS will then send the scanned documents to UKVI.

the applicant ( in the philippines ) takes all his /her paperwork to vfs to be scanned. the sponsor ( in the UK ) sends theirs to Sheffield. no need for packets of papers to be flying round the globe.

She lives in Abu Dhabi so i assume she takes it to VFS there? is it not confusing to send half the documents to VFS and half the documents to sheffield

if shes applying from abu then--yes--use the local vfs. the previous method meant the sponsor posting a great mass of papers to the applicants country--which takes days--if it gets there at all.

I thought i would have to post her, bank statements, letter from work, SU07/12 form and VAf4A Appendix 2. I thought it had to be the originals with my signature.

If she's applying in Abu Dhabi then you would have to send your documents to her and she will submit it in the VFS. It will be processed there in the UAE not in Sheffield.

i didnt know that, Brom...is it because shes applying away from her home country ?

Because she lives in Abu Dhabi so she can apply from there. And they process the visas in UAE not in Sheffield which is I think better than applying in the Philippines which is quite a mess right now, imo.

We are applying under Part 3A (Income from salaried employment in the UK) I have included 6 months of bank statements, wage slips and letter from work. Do i need to provide my partners bank statements. Or will this be confusing for them?

Can I ask you why the application is going to Sheffield? Is there a place in the south of England to send the application? I live in Farnborough, Hampshire. My partner lives in Dubai. Since seeing this post we are considering processing our application in the UK also.
Can any one tell me the negatives and positives to the application being processed in the UK?

If she's living in Dubai and is applying there it will not be processed in Sheffield. This change is only applicable for everyone applying in the Philippines. Her visa will be processed in UAE.
