I phoned the call centre on Friday as it was day 102 (I think, it could be 107, lost count) and my MPs staff had been told a decision was imminent, despite the fact my fiancé got an email on the 30th saying her application was still being processed, though it was another generic email. To my surprise and delight I was told a decision had been made on the 30th October. Still no idea what the decision is as it seems the embassy have extended our torture and after a week and a half still haven't released her passport!!!! At least the waiting is nearly over.

Well our ordeal is not over. Application was rejected. Home office said I didn't supply my company accounts so not enough evidence I meet the financial requirements. Angry, numb and frustrated - especially as VFS scanned my company accounts twice, in June and September and I easily meet the financial requirements. Trying to work out what to do next. The documents we were told weren't submitted definitely were, in fact the originals are still in Manila with the agency we used.

sorry to read that--you must be devastated.

can you get the agency to prove the docs were submitted ?

That's an idea. Thanks @bigmac. My MPs staff are on it too. We can only assume the ECO wanted my accounts for year ending March 2017, which shouldn't be necessary as I'm not due to pay tax on those accounts until December 31st and at time of submission the accounts hadn't been done.

Sorry to hear this @surreydave. Anyways, company accounts you mean the payslips?

I think one scary thing in using the scanning system is that the applicant has no proof that all the docs we gave them we're all really scanned. We should have atleast something that shows all our docs are scanned and forwarded to sheffield.

Agree about the scanning service. The rejection letter specifically said my CT600 was not supplied which are my company accounts. We definitely handed in the last 2 years worth to VFS.

    Hi Guys,
Has anyone ever applied for vingette renewal?
My Wife in VFS has been told that we need to submit all the paperwork again.
I.e. wage slips employer letters proof of communication, Photos marriage licence etc Everything!
Also when in Manila in May we had to submit documents to Sheffield.
Now for Vingette it is Manila!
Also we have been told 15 working day processing! Yeah ! I will believe that when I see it!

    TIA

    Rob
